...Amir Ali, a university official in Baghdad commenting Tuesday on Iraq's new interim constitution.
A university offical commenting? Does he happen to be one of the (25?) members of the Iraqi governing board who are making these decisions? Or is he just one person who is a university official who might just disagree with what the governing body has decided on?
I'm sure in a country this large, one can find ONE person who's not happy about something that's being done.

They will find a whole lot of people "not happy" in Iraq about a form of government forced upon them by a foreign power.
Being a university official does lend some weight to his statement. We could assume he has a high level of education and understands the implications of what is going on.
