I've read several articles about apologies and the differences in responses to muslim atrocities versus US atrocities.

One article said that the Arab world judges us by our own standards. I can see some truth in that. What I am beginning to think about now is why we don't respond to the Arabs in language they understand. Tell the arabs and the terrorists and the world that we will respond according to the Golden Rule

{I can hear your libs shriek at that announcement! Religion and government policy in one sentence!)

Terrorize us and we will terrorize you. Brutalize us and we will brutalize you. Speak to us with respect and we will speak to you with respect.

Forty years of liberalism have gained us nothing.

On the other hand, some hardnosed policy from someone 'out of the mainstream' resulted in the Berlin Wall's being knocked down and a regime was changed without firing a shot.

A change in policy and some applied force in Iraq got us ahead in Libya and Pakistan, and Iran is in the midst of changing. Nothing succeeds like success. Lets do that some more so we don't have to do this for generations ahead.

helen - Since you and kiara both seem a little confused on the job approval rating......I'll just let others click on the link I provided and make their own decision.

I'm sure they can read the numbers on that link......all by themselves. Even though you and kiara appear to be having a problem with what it says.....and what it's about.

The truth linda is that the reports for your poll were taken before the publication of the topic that we are now discussing.

fenix - Yes....selective memory....all politicians seem to have it when needed.

I haven't read McCains statements [was busy preparing a special Mother's Day dinner and day yesterday] about his feelings on what we should do now that this abuse situation has been exposed. He's considered a RINO is he asking for Rumsfeld to resign?
