Guess you have to toss you sensitivity out the window when you post here. That's what I do. Your experience during the war sounds very exciting. Did you live on an Army base?

Libra, never let anyone get to you. Don't ever stop posting. Even when Helen says to throw your sensitivitys out the window.
Theres a time when people can be decent and civilized even if it is a 'message board, and esp the Round Table, instead of playing these 'I'm smarter than you are, bs'
Off the top, I can think of two posters who post 'nicely' (can't think of a right word here) even if you disagree with them, Cheryl and Bunnicula. I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones I can think of right now.

I don't think Reamond was insulting at all--especially not when compared to some other posters in the RT--on both "sides" of the political spectrum--who freely toss names around and make accusations on a daily basis.
Whether it is taught in 3rd grade or 6th grade is not the point. Try as you like to make it so. Reamond pointed out that you seem to need a refresher course in how bills pass through congress and what happens to them as they do so. And I can clearly rember learning in grade school how "pork" is often added to a bill as it passes through--to such an extent that it can change the very nature of the bill. And that in voting for such a bill you would find yourself voting for a bunch of crap that you don't and never did want.
My question is, why are you getting so upset over this?

No army base. I lived in an ordinary town no bigger than 2500 people but in an area that was a target for the war. Most towns around us had the same thing but we survived as nothing happened, thank goodness.
Thanks Near the Sea, for your support and for the other posters that didn't come in and say something. It's hard to image the hate people have and that if we banded together we could over come the hatred and become a nation of peace. But when there are two strong sides it is difficult. Now, I have never said what my voting record was/is and that I supported the Democrats or Republicans but somewhere down the line someone just thought I might me Republican. I am neither. I stand up for the man/women not a party. I would never commit to a party unless I had to. In Illinois they have to, where I go and help on voting day we have to because at every polling place there has to be an equal amount of democrats and republicans. Other than that when I go into the voting booth it is my private place to do with what I want. With that said I hope you will understand that insults hurt and I would never think of insulting others but I have come close. Thanks NTS....
