There is no difference. The general was tortured to death.

Being smothered & dying does not equate to being placed in a meat grinder feet first.

How do you know ? Both persons are dead as a result of being tortured. It is disgusting that Americans would do something like this.

Sure there's a difference.

Those who are found guilty of wrong doing will be punished.

Saddam, his sons, and their brutal group whose continued treatment of those who opposed them didn't see their offenders being brought to justice....paying for their crimes.

That's a HUGE difference imo.

Re-elect President Bush!!

At least no matter how hard the press, etc, tries to push it, according to all the polls, the American public gives a big "ho-hum" about American "torture". It has a much bigger effect on the Iraqis. Officials there are going nutty because we are releasing all of the thugs in that facility.

So Bush, Cheney, and Ashcroft will be punished ?

I'm willing to bet you'll defend them for allowing torture.

Then why not just chop off Sadaam's head now instead of turning him over to the Iraqi's.

I bet you would say it would be wrong for the US to do it, but you would have no problem if the Iraqi people did it.

Re-defeat Bush

All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others.

Change is constant. The history of mankind is about change. One set of beliefs is pushed aside by a new set. The old order is swept away by the new. If people become attached to the old order, they see their best interest in defending it. They become the losers. They become the old order and in turn are vulnerable. People who belong to the new order are winners.

Let's hogtie our military with political correctness and see how effective they become.
