Yes, fenix I do.
First there's the one hour time difference. Hearing the state had already gone to gore easily could have kept voters home. The 'why bother - it's already decided' line of thinking. And the more important fact that those counties supported Bush...not gore.
Anyone really interested in how important their vote is would have been willing to continue to stand in line, not leave if that 'call' wasn't made, in error, by the networks....especially since the polling places would not close right at 7:00...but rather remain open until those already in line had their chance to vote.

linda says," "There were 4000 police and 2000 military protecting George Bush in Ireland this weekend." ""Yes, I think that's great. If the government of Ireland hadn't wished him to visit, they wouldn't have invited him. Stating the reasons why. They did..he came...and all countries have a responsibility to protect visiting leaders from other countries. ""
Just don't want to get it do you!
The Irish used to like and honor our presidents and welcome them with open arms. They are strong U.S. supporters, have been for a long time....until bush came along....geezzz, they liked NIXON better!
Yes, the Irish GOVERNMENT wished him to visit.
""all countries have a responsibility to protect visiting leaders from other countries. ""
linduh, "OTHER" countries?, no, it was so bush couldn't see how much hate he has created among the Irish!...in Ireland!

Wow! Linda thinks it is great that 6000 people are guarding a killer who ordered the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqi's, refuses to offer the same Civil Liberties to all Americans, who seems to think it is ok that we sacrifice our sons and daughters so that his buddies can make a few extra billion dollars all the while, it's not ok for a woman to choose to have an abortion. His family and friends helped him steal an election, while the other mass murderer (Bin Laden) roams freely after 3 years since his attack that killed over 3000 people on our soil. Wow! That is great Linda. I am amazed at how backwards your thoughts are. I would think someone so opinionated would think of these things before they go off and support someone like George Bush. Talk about a hypocritical leader.

And bigpeepa - Here's another article you might be interested in reading - in regards to just WHO was calling for some of the investigations on the clinton's.
====
People forget. You had the New York Times and the Washington Post calling for the Whitewater investigation, calling for the campaign-finance investigation," she noted.
Yet Clinton only sees a vast right-wing conspiracy.
Also might want to do a search for verifying how much the left spent on the Iran/Contra costa investigations. More than you might believe. Both sides do it...some is necessary investigations...some as during the clinton administration are politically motivated too.

And in a little more timely frame....let's discuss how many investigations of the PRESENT administration are going on now.
How about the investigation into the reasons for going to war with Iraq, the outing of a CIA agent from WITHIN the Whitehouse, investigations into how much Haliburton is overcharging our TROOPS in Iraq......and on and on and on.............
