i have yet to see a woman in person who looks good in capri pants.
It looks like their pants have shrunk ,what is the appeal of these pants??
It shows thick ankles,flashy toenail polish,protruding stomach,thick thigh,scars and marks on feet/leg,fat ass??what else??
If you look good in capri, please post a picture here!!

I won't post a picture, but I love capri pants. You need to have the right shoes (something with a bit of a heel) to pull them off, though. I've seen women wear them with socks and tennis shoes - no, no, no! Overweight women should never wear them with anything other than a long shirt. In fact, they look altogether better with long shirts. I'm far from overweight (could use 10 lbs if anyone is giving it away, LOL), but I wear capris with a longer shirt and shoes with a bit of a heel. It pulls the outfit together nicely.

Sound like you don't like anyone with any imperfections to even wear shorts. There's a woman on our street younger than me (about 35, I'm going to be 48) and despite gops and gobs of cellulite, she wears short-shorts. Granted, it looks just awful, but she's comfortable with it so who am I to say anything. I've seem grossly overweight women in tube tops (yikes), crop tops (double yikes), short-shorts, and very tight jeans. To each his own, I guess. If they don't care what they look like, why should I?

You've got that right, twelve! And, what's wrong with that. Would you rather see a bunch of middle aged women walking around in mumus (sp?) and housecoats? What of men who try to regrow their hair? Or, the middle aged men eating Viagra like it's candy. We're all guilty.

Cheryl, most of those women look like 10lbs of sh!t shoved into a 5lb sack...

I don't care what woman wears as long as it accentuates any beauty she may have... not make her look uglier...

I see overweight youg girls do the same to... they seem to think it is ok to have that gut hanging out...

Stop, they definitely give a stumpy appearance to shorter plumper women and I've also seen some on thin women, whose legs kinda look like an upside down match stick missing the sulfer part. heh!

But women pretty much wear whatever they(designers and fashion magazines) are putting out there. But some never change their wardrobe for years and years, tho.

I guess women wear capri pants because they are comfortable and cooler than jeans or slacks and more modest than shorts... but then you men would make it a personal thing and always insist that we women only dress to please you.. LOL....Ya right!

I'll tell you what.. when you hairy pot bellied , butt crack showing, flabby tit men with your ugly knocked knees start worrying about your appearance maybe we will start caring..

But I might add.. I work out 4 days a week and I look marvelous in my little capri pants! MM

Way to go, Maggie! I've been told I look pretty good in mine, too! My boyfriend has a habit of wearing t-shirts that are too tight. He looks pregnant in them and I tell him so. I've seen some pretty awful looking men in shorts! How about the white socks and good shoes with shorts look? Gotta love it!

Have you ever noticed that it's those "hairy pot bellied , butt crack showing, flabby tit men" who usually have a sticker on their truck or car that says No Fat Chicks?

i see men running around in stores with flipflop and tanktops.
I can see sandals but flipflops??
also i thought we all have to wear socks or knee hi or stockings to try on shoes, now i see most just stick their barefeet into shoes.stores used to provide some socks and ask you to put them on before you try on shoes.

Capri pants look good when worn with the right top and like any fashion they may not look the best on everyone.

This site tells the history of them and gives tips about how to wear them.

I think this is a nice clean look.

Well each to his/her own choice what people wear. So your opinion is that women shouldn't wear clothes that you don't approve of. Well I beg to differ, whatever I feel good in I will wear. I do not dress for other people. Besides when does capri pants show bellies? Next will you pick on hair styles? What about coulotts. Are they taboo also? There are many women that don't like to show off their body but want to wear something that is confortable so hurrah to the capri pants.

I see you didn't attack the younger crowd with their low rider jeans, their T-Shirs up to their busts with belly rings.

I agree with LIBRA 100% when she says,

".... Well I beg to differ, whatever I feel good in I will wear. I do not dress for other people. "

Maturity brings more things into proper perspective...for most men and women. People who mature properly soon learn not to follow the herd but have developed their own "style" and not just in clothes!

Gee Libra, you sure have a way of turning a light topic into an arguement. People can wear what they want, AND DO. Whether you or I like it, some people look bad in their choice of clothes, especially if they're overweight. Like it or not.

At just over 5 feet tall I stay far far away from things that have the ability of making my already short legs appear to be even shorter.

In general though, Capri pants can look really cute on soem people but the right shoe, a decent tan (real, fake n' bake, or spray on is fine) and recent use of a razor are all neccessary ingredients in a successful mix.

yeah,i see what Libra is like now.
i am making a statement,a personal statement,i am not looking for anyone to launch an attack.
Most women choose a fashion because they believe they look good in them,i am offering an opinion that many do not look good in capris.
They can continue to wear capris or miniskirt or whatever .
By the way,not wearing any clothes is the most comfortable way to go,if comfort ,not fashion,is the priority .
Or wrapping yourself in towel.

With all the plastic surgery around nobody needs be ugly anymore. It can be bought like a new vehicle. But you can only fake intelligence or class but so far. Is that the idea behind your einstein thing, kraft? hahaha

Stop: Mind if I ask you a question? Are you a man or a woman? I used to think you were a man somewhat obsessed with fat women and food? But then someone mentioned they thought you were a woman? I will understand if you choose not to answer.

Capri pants are one of the brilliant marketing schemes originated by men to sell women pants that are too short.

In the common hillbilly vernacular they are refered to as "high waters" or "crick crossers"
