What ever happened to Teresa Heinz Ketchup Kerry? She seemed to have disappeared. The democrats probably locked her in a closet so she can't do anymore damage.

OK, it's already messed up. The subject of the thread was who do you think will win and why,not who you are going to vote for.
No wonder people can't punch the right spot on voting cards. They can't read or understand.

Bush
I trust him more than I trust Kerry. (Can't put my finger on it exactly, gut instinct.)
Would like to see Nader, but, like Perot, will never get the electoral college to go his way.
I do believe it would be dangerous for our country to change "horses" right now. If your dog gets fleas, you don't get rid of the dog. Sometimes you have to employ several different methods to finally get rid of the fleas. (I say this as I'm scratching my ankles, but that's another thread...)
TerryAnn
edited to add- I believe the American people feel the way I do and will re-elect Bush for the same reasons.

Okay, like etexbill said, the question was "The subject of the thread was who do you think will win and why,not who you are going to vote for."
I thought we would take a poll now and then another after the debates, to see how or if the numbers will change.. but many of you just said who you are voting for.. so I have added up the numbers and here is what we have:
Bush 13
Kerry 5
Other 2 (1 Nader and 1 God?)
Undecided 1
Do you get the same count? Looks like Bush is far ahead here on our Round Table so far.

but many of you just said who you are voting for....
Yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean what you asked us to do was mis-understood. I think President Bush will be re-elected....AND I'm voting for him.
To me, to think someone other than the candidate whom one supports will be elected shows lack of confidence in ones own choice. [not applied to Nader votes - no matter the reason]. A defeatist attitude if you will....a lack of belief that their candidate can present their strengths and abilities to American's on why THEY should be chosen...why they would be the best one to serve this Nation.

ebayauctionguy - You hit the nail on it' head on why T.H. kerry is seen less and less. With his war history being discussed they propably figured that it was best she didn't express her thoughts on the subject....call anyone else names...or tell anyone to 'shove it' at this time.

I see this another way Linda. I prefer to keep an open mind. I will vote for the candidate of my choice, but I will judge him as critically as I would any other. Because he is the leader of my party of choice, does not mean that I will follow him blindly and without question.
I don't think this shows that I have a lack of confidence for my candidate, it shows that I will see things clearly, no rose colored glasses. I have never seen a candidate yet from any party that I have agreed with 100%. Doc

As of right now I and my family will be voting for President Bush.
There have been 6 Presidents that have excelled when this Nation was in need of leadership. George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Ronald Reagan and G. W. Bush.
Each were a man for their time. Each changed the world as we know it.

I see this another way Linda.
Seeing things differently is what makes the world-go-'round.
I prefer to keep an open mind. I will vote for the candidate of my choice, but I will judge him as critically as I would any other. Because he is the leader of my party of choice, does not mean that I will follow him blindly and without question.
I don't see the above as being any different than those of us who have done the same exact thing before we decided who we are supporting with our votes. We just have more confidence that our candidate is the best one for the job.
I don't think this shows that I have a lack of confidence for my candidate, it shows that I will see things clearly, no rose colored glasses. I have never seen a candidate yet from any party that I have agreed with 100%. Doc
Again, that's just how I see it....a lack of confidence, otherwise there would be no hemming and hawing about it. There would be an 'I KNOW and here's why' attitude.

I believe that President Bush will be re-elected. And here is why:
When the debates begin, President Bush will focus on John Kerry's Senate record. It will show what a sad leader he would make: a man who cannot show up to work for the people he was elected by cannot be trusted to run the entire government. That will truly be Kerry's downfall.
In Christ,
Rick
John 1:1
"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I do not accept His claim to be God." That is one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic....or else he would be the devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

That is hilarious! This should poll should be released to the general public. I find it amusing, especially considering how many neo-cons always say that this RT leans to the left. Bush in a landslide. lol.
Sorry, folks, don't get your underwear in a wad just yet. We have too much time left to even think this would even be a landslide.
The real question should be how many of us have been polled, and polled with a non-affiliated organization?
By the way, throw a vote to Kerry onto the count for me. Perhaps I should get everyone on my particular street to joing the RT as well. That would tie it up or push Kerry into the lead. This is hilarious.

And I could get my neighborhood on here also, and it would definitly up the count for Bush

near- i think that was my point exactly. these surveys don't really mean much because oftentimes those who participate have similar views. I guarantee you that many Florida RT participants aren't on here right now, and if this survey was taken at another time, we might find the complete opposite tally.
I know most of us who participate regularly on the RT know that we all push each others buttons, and I personally do it for fun myself. Sometimes I've been pretty riled up on an issue, but that is who I am. I have so many friends and relatives that debate constantly, and some of those arguments don't end on friendly terms, but we live to fight another day.

Okay, I didn't know you were joking so that brings Bush up to 17.
I'm surprised that Bear remains undecided..
some of the people who didn't vote are Canadian right? But they still have the right to vote for who they think will win..here on the RT.. c'mon now.. I know some of you are pro democrat.. if you don't show up.. I might just have to accept your absentee vote.. LOL... Doc

Dr. D - Please re-look at your numbers.
At your previous tally you had 13 for Bush...then.
Fred
ChristianCoffee
MAH
and dixie voted for him
making a total [that I came to] of 17 for Bush.
then keiichem and
Now yellowstone makes 19.
5 were for kerry...then rusty...making 6 not 8 for kerry.
I know I've missed someone here...but would someone mind helping me see where kerry's 2 additional votes came from?
And kiara and KD can't vote in the US as Canadians...unless they're registered to vote here instead of in Canada...which may be a possibility.
