As I watched a new corvette commercial last week, the thought drifted through my mind that someone was sure to complain about it before too long. Turns out I was right.
Have you seen it? It features a boy driving a red corvette through the city, sending it through the air & driving at mach speed through a tunnel. When it shimmers to a stop we see a boy with a skateboard--who has been daydreaming the whole thing while staring at a parked Corvette.
When I first saw it I thought that someone would surely pop up and claim that the commercial would cause kids everywhere to leap into cars and emulate the commercial. And that's what happened. PC strikes again!! Take a read:

I saw and loved the commercial - especially the disclaimer at the beginning "this is a dream - do not drive without a liscense". We are becoming a rather humorless society aren't we.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I only saw it once and it was awesome... I loved it! Jumpin' Jack Flash it's a gas, gas, gas, gas.......
But when I was telling someone about it I commented that it was only a matter of time before some people would start whining about it. Too bad they yanked it so quickly.

I never saw it but there is one where a guy is jogging and he stops to retie his shoe or somthing and he puts his hand on a car and all of a sudden he is dreaming about driving the car fast. When he takes his hand off of the car the dream stops. So off he goes on his jog and then he sees a picture of a pretty Woman just in front of the car so he puts his hand on the picture thinking awe what the heck, why not, but nothing happens. I always think whenever I see that commercial that why doesen't he put one hand on the car and the other on the picture of the pretty Woman, the dumbass.
