No, helen, an Associated Press article posted on that site. At least try to get some of your statements correct.

'Course you probably don't believe the AP nor the DOJ's findings....but still lack proof to support your false statements. Just keep repeating all those false statements, you might just convince those who aren't interested in search out the facts.

Much better, for you, to continue trying to keep that racial divide there.

Yeah, right...linda...the media and especially Fox and freepers is an auxiliary wing of the Republican Party. Do you really expect to read anything other than the election of George Bush was hunky dory from those outlets. Even Jeb's own task force on the 2000 election recommended that the Legislature change county election supervisors from elected to nonpartisan position. But, guess what? The legislature did not act on that recommendation or on the suggestion of election reform groups that the secretary of state also be selected by a nonpartisan commission ....to ensure a fair mediation between officials and politicians.

To think that the Florida election was fair is ludicrous beyond belief lindak.

helen - I'll say it again. When any site posts a decision made after the Civil Rights Commission AND the DOJ has investigated and found your statements not to be true....it doesn't matter what site reports that news. Doesn't change the facts.

Again, helen, maybe you can post a link to some leftist media that says the DOJ ruled differently than reported on my chosen site. Facts are facts no matter which side reports them.

lindak, you need to read the book excerpt that I posted in your coulter thread about Truth. There, you will learn how your government is able to deceive you and why you are willing to be deceived.

Now imagine a society in which everyone believes that what makes an opinion true is whether it is held by those in power. So if the authorities say that black people are inferior to white people, or love is hate, or war is peace, then the citizens sincerely believe that is true. Such a society lacks something, to say the least. In particular, its people misunderstand truth, and the nature of their misunderstanding undermines the very point of even having the concept. Social criticism often involves expressing disagreement with those in power -- saying that their views on some matter are mistaken. But a member of our little society doesn't believe that the authorities can be mistaken. In order to believe that, they would have to be able to think that what the authorities say is incorrect. But their understanding of what correctness is rules out such a possibility. So criticism -- disagreement with those in power -- is, practically speaking, impossible.

Yo Linda, I guess you missed Zell Miller's speech at the RNC....you think Gore is a madman ??????

But ,of course, when a rightie does it they're just being "passionate", and when a lefty does it they're a madman......part of the rights illogical, screwy, way of thinking.
Heard a psycho-analyst on the radio say Zelly was waaaay over the edge.

Helen, give up with Linda and trying to prove to HER what the rest of the world KNOWS....that the Florida elections were a huge unfunny joke.
She's in denial. Her selective C&P is ridiculous. I see from another thread she's been in here WWAAAAYYYYYY tooooo long. Poor thing, it's her whole world and she just ignores the real one.
You have to remember that Republicans don't give a damn about your right to vote unless they can buy it.
