I don't think that's fair, Crow. Why would someone lie about a death in their family? When Linda's husband passed away, she made one thread about it and asked others to not treat her differently. She never brings up the subject. Also, she is going through her own medical issues and again, never talks about that. If you lost the love of your life, would you be able to carry on with the same dignity? Especially on this board with mostly everyone disagreeing with your every post while you were still grieving for your husband? Instead of being called names, I personally think Linda deserves a medal for sticking it out this long.

A medal? That may be a litttle overboard, KD.

If we passed out medals for things that we have to grieve about, we might all deserve a few. Some of us don't discuss our personal problems here.

Linda's husband died over a year ago and I think that she enjoys posting here and apparently has adjusted well.

Does that sit well with you?

Maggie - just so that you know - once a thead starts down the road to ruin with all the insults and such - I don't bother reading them anymore. I just have better things to do with my time and energy than visit the verbal cesspool. You can condemn me for that all you wish mi amiga. Yo no cuido.

BTW - I think Twelve is well aware of the fact that I think he is a bit of a knuckle dragger when it comes to many of his opinions on women and equality based on gender and sexual orientation. If you were around back in the days of those debates you would know that. You would also know that I actually think he is much less close minded than his posts and that most of them are aimed to irk. I think the difference between how I see Twelve and how I see Crow is that we have seen numberous sides of Twelve and there are aspects that are quite tolerable and even amusing as hell whereas the only side of Crow I have ever seen is mean spirited, quick tempered and downright nasty.

I know it's not popular for a person to defend Linda here, but that's too bad. Although I disagree with most of her political views, I highly doubt she would make up a story about losing her husband, therefore I found Crow's post unfair.

Dadofstickboy...Read before you reply.

My first post...

yellowstone, you are such a weasle to start a thread like this. What's the matter? You can't handle your wimpy attacks without calling for support?

How pitiful.

My second post in answer to fenix

Fenix, How in the hell could I be shocked at anything that I might read here? I simply think that it's a tacky maneuver to attack someone by starting a thread like this one...as I suggested in my previous comment to the starter of this thread, yellowstone.

I would feel the same even if the topic was focused on someone that I despise.

My third post in answer to KD

I much prefer to let you fight amongst yourselves. (which is what it looks like you're doing with this "simple vote"?)

Life's too short... cherish the good times/happenings in your life. I'll just stay in la-la land if it's okay with you all ... I like it here!!!!

fenix says, "I see that you are, as tradition dictates, now moving in to the poor poor pitiful me - I know I am an evil b*tch but it's all everyones elses fault, they made me this way mode so I think I will bow out of the pity party now. Enjoy yourself. "

Dear fenix, I have never pitied myself in my life and won't start now .
Although YOU are being very true to form ...reading what you want into my posts, ....totally lacking in reading comprehension or maybe just doing a little slective reading, gazing into your crystal ball without a license to tell me what I feel,......

I think I explained things quite well in my last post and you segued off into never -never land. You circled with the wolves as fast as anyone else you phony !

You ARE gullible and with all due respect to Kraft, linda seems to not be greiving too much for this alleged husband if she's been posting in here.....pretty pathetic if you lose a loved one and only have this board to come to.

OR she just wanted a little sympathy because in her real life no one can stand her enough to say hello. I take it no one has ever read linda's ....oh hell....

Enough about linduh, it's all about me and I am enjoying this immensely

Ya, yellowbelly's the troll but I stirred up the hornets nest!!

So many of you just can't stand when someone is right, I make a point and you can't handle it. But I am having fun listing all the excuses:

1. WAH! You called me a name

2. Oh, it's Clinton's fault.

3. You're in here all the time , you must not have a life (from people who have been posting here AGES before I started).

3a. You ran away( when I don't post for a while).

4. You corrected my spelling and my feelings are hurt so I can't answer.

5. I have no respect for you so I can't answer(after a lengthy exchange).

So all you weak kneed ninnies (with the exception of Maggie to whom the word weak will never apply)....my sage advice is

Call 1-800- WAH WAH WAH

Agreed fenix. I find the childish insults a real bore. There are many interesting threads started here but more often than not they are quickly derailed into, as you correctly observe, a verbal cesspool. As for calling out Crowfarm, I can't say I disagree. I can think of at least three separate threads where I attempted to engage her in discussion, all of which went ignored. But when Linda responded in those same threads, Crowfarm was quick to attack her seemingly with no provocation.

This is not a defense of Linda as even though I am usually conservative in my politics, I often disagree with her. That said, however, Linda and I have had more than one discussion of issues we disagree on and while we may not change each others minds, there was give and take and a mutual exchange of opinions.

I also don't single out Crowfarm simply because she's more liberal than I as there are several posters here that are more liberal than I who I think contribute interesting points of view. Posters like Helen, Kraft and Profe come to mind here, although there are others.

As for whether this thread is appropriate or not - thats difficult to say. I disagree with the catagory of "hatefilled" as I don't know enough about any single poster here to use that term. So in that regard, I wouldn't nominate anyone. But others may be more comfortable with the term so I don't know that starting a thread about it is inappropriate.

For the title of The Most Hatefilled Vendio Poster Child....my vote goes to crowfarm.

In all my years on this board, I have never seen anyone as nasty, mean and hateful as she is....even when she is constantly ignored all the time it doesn't stop her vulgar postings.

I feel pity for anyone that miserable. truly.
-------------------
maggie gets my vote for second place. She just like crowfarm is a liar and attributes many things to me that I've never said nor done. They twist the intentions and statements of others...and appear to take great enjoyment at the expense of others.

with Linda's smilies accused Logansdad of being a member of NAMBLA and having sex with his son...

NEVER did I say any such thing.

or Linda's defending the torturing of children in Iraq, because they all are the enemy in her eyes, or the death wishes toward Crow, or even the joke about me in the shower with my father...if you were around then

Again NEVER something I said.

And it gets REAL tiresome constantly going around having to deny all the lies they spew most of the time.
