bunni And I also think that when someone is constantly attacked, called names and had vicious allegations made about them by several other posters that even if it is not alright, it is certainly understandable when they retaliate in kind. Human nature.
For me I can see why cf gets all the responses he/she does from others.....she/he earns them by her own vicious postings to them. How you can overlook her nastiness and defend her as 'retaliating in kind' when she is the provocative one is beyond me.

So Maggie doesn't like to be called names, well welcome to the group it seems like you do that a lot along with the person that is hooked to your hip. I won't call you names if you don't criticize me and I mean that. I will stay away from you forever,
I hate to tell you this 12 but women that find lumps in their breast and it turns out to be cancer they usually don't remove the breast anymore. They just take out the lump and treat it from there.
I do feel bad when someone has breast cancer as a Mammographer I came in contact with many women, some men, and I can't imagine when you get a diagnosis like that what someone feels like. The only good thing, if there is anything good, is that it is very treatable and curable. I think most of us do have scares like that whether it be breast cancer or cervical cancer as they are the most typical ones. I just had that scare and the anticipation of the 2nd test was something else. Thank goodness it was negative.
posted on January 15, 2005 05:07:44 AM newI'm just glad the left is not the party leading this nation down the path some propose here and that the Republicans are in power.
And what path is that, Linda? No more wars and torture and killing of innocent people? Where people would actually look out and care for others? Peace, harmony and all that stuff? My, my........ what a crappy world that would be for you, eh?
I could not have said it any better Kiara.
Since the Republicans have been "in charge" or have had their "mandate", we have been attacked, we have gone to war, the economy has been pretty bad, the nation is more divided than ever, most international countries despise the US.
If this is leading the country down the right path. I would hate to see the wrong path. It is no wonder why Linda believes Bush is doing a great job. She cant see anything through that smoke screen Bush trys to pass to the American people.

$50 Million would buy a lot of beer for George and his daughters. I just hope they do not let it all go to waste.

What is he trying to pass to the American people logansdad?
Do you think that if the American people didn't think President Bush was the better choice he would be in office now? Democrats didn't offer up a viable candidate that is all there is to it...
Gays hurt the election by their pushing of the marriage issue...
Their timimg was off and now that some states have ammended their constitutions.... it probably has set your cause back many years...
I don't think many people would of cared if the "No WMD's" had come out before the election, there wasn't anyone else to vote for.

You keep thinking Bush won by a landslide. He did not. He had a slight majority of the vote to make a difference. The American people that you and Linda keep referring to were and still are equally divided about Bush.
Democrats didn't offer up a viable candidate that is all there is to it...
Yes I would have to agree with you. I wish there was someone better than Kerry, but there was not and we will have DICTATOR BUSH in office until Jan. 20, 2009.
Gays hurt the election by their pushing of the marriage issue...
If that is what you want to believe, then fine. Here you are turning every thread into a gay issue.
If you look at the election issues individually (as opposed to lumping everything into the morality category), the election was not won or lost on the gay marriage issue. The war and the economy were the two biggest issues.

3.5 million is not a small majority. Why not give it a rest. He won the popular vote because he was the best of the two candidates. Can't you understand that. The democrats goofed and goofed big letting Kerry the traitor run for president. A decorted war hero, ya right. Maybe he had decorations but he also did things unbecoming a soldier and an american citizen. Can't forget his sidekick the malpractice trial lawyer. Great combination.
As for the inaugural, and which I guess you don't understand that most of the money is coming from donations. Yes, security has to be given but remember since 4 years have passed salaries have risen and don't forget 9/11. The democrats are just sorry losers. Give them cheese with their whine and maybe they will feel better.
In 4 years when and if a democrat is elected they will also have an inaugural, so beware of what you say it might come back and bite you in the behind. But then of course you will have nothing to say about that because after all it is the inaugural and the candidate is democrat.. BTW did Clinton have an inaugural? 30 million but of course he is worth it. gag....

Libra63, it's more like the Republicans are sore winners. Most of your/their time is spent bitchin' and whining about the Democrats whining about losing when hardly any of them are doing that at all and certainly not on this board.
Also many of you guys have a total obsession over Clinton and his past and you never stop mentioning it even though it's years later. Get over it already!

Twelve, one thing the "gay issue" did, is it brought to light just how much trouble traditional marriage is in and has been for decades. Something the right has trouble with is looking at their own hypocrisies, so in their minds if they don't allow gays to marry, then that'll somehow fix the traditional marriage problem. I thought the timing was perfect, whether they "won" or not, but like you, some can't see the forest for the trees.

Out of 120 million votes cast it is a small amount, 2-3%. Please take a math lesson. You must have been in the same math class as Linda since she still believes the American people voted for Bush in 2000 when it is obvious to everyone but her that Gore had won the popular vote.
BTW did Clinton have an inaugural? 30 million but of course he is worth it. gag....
So why is it that Bush needs to spend $50M when $30M is making you gag? Last time I checked $50M is more than $30M and it is almost double what was spent by Clinton. Did you not learn that in math class?
I am sure if Bush got $100M he would spend it. But then again Bush wants to emulate the Royal Saudi Family so $50M is drop a bucket. But again the motto of the Republicans is spend, spend, spend. Who cares who has to pay for it.

118,049,259 total voters Quite a bit different number than the total population of the US
Different number...same narrow win by a small majority...

LOL - Yea, but a win is a win....not a loss...like the dems have experienced three times now. 2000, 2002 and now 2004.
No wonder the dems are so seriously trying to figure out why they are losing more and more of the voters support.
