maggie - My daughter is fighting for her life with breast cancer, how much more real can it get.

How much more real can it get for our soldiers who are serving this nation, dying in this war? Dying while fighting for our country? It's NO DIFFERENT maggie. We as parents all love our children and don't appreciate when anything negative is said about them. That's the point you're missing. Until you walk in someone's shoes...maybe you don't understand what it feels like to have an idiot, that you support and cheer on [cf], who continues to wish death and torture on my son.

I've never said anything about your daughter nor her struggle either. Doesn't change the fact of how it feels when someone gets so low to wish death and torture upon my son. And nobody even wished torture or death on your daughter.

Linda, search Susan G. Komen, It is a stand alone Breast Center started by her father. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at an early age and passed away and her father started these clinics. There are several throughout the U.S. Now throughout the year there several walks or mini triathlons to raise money for these clinics.

Thanks libra and twelve...I'd never heard of them. But have heard of other walks to raise funds for cancer victims.

It doesn't surprise me twelve that you'd support them.

And you're right twelve, if a woman does loose a breast or part of a breast it doesn't change who she is...the person that she is. Any man worth being with would know that. The others...who'd want them anyway if that's all they care about and not saving their woman's life.

Breast Cancer is very treatable if found early enough. Mrs. Edwards has breast cancer and her lump was the size of a 50 cent piece and she is expected to have full recovery. Most lumps are usually smaller than that. I have a very good friend that had her lump removed then radiation, no chemotherapy and she is expected to have a full recovery. Brett Favre's wife also has breast cancer and they expect a full recovery. She is getting Chemo. All were found early and early detection means for good results.

A highschool girlfriend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. Removed the tumor and a little tissue [lymph nodes] from the surrounding area and gave her both chemo and radiation treatments. She was pretty sick going through the therapy....but she's cancer free for now and they'll keep a close eye on her from now on.

My wife had breast cancer more than 8 years ago. She went to 4 doctors for opinions. 3 recommended removal of both breast. She then went to a young doctor at the Women's Hospital who recommended none of the above.

He told her he was an expert in Women cancers. He was a believer in removing only the cancer, prevention surgery, and followup prevention. He spent most of the day explaining what would happen during the operation and after.

During surgery he removed the cancer infected lumps, plus all lymph nodes (1st. prevention). She went through both chemo and radiation treatment. She was then scheduled for a complete hysterectomy.( 2nd prevention). She was told never to wash dishes without gloves, wear long sleeves and never allowed any needles by anyone to be placed from the tips of her fingers to her shoulders. She has a monogram every 4 months.

To my knowledge this doctor has never turned down a patient for lack of money or insurance.

Fred

P.S. Welcome back Twelve.

Fred recovery story about your wife.
There is always that seed back in hers and your brain but with the prevention that she is doing keeps that in control. Yes I recommend Breast Centers where all they do is take of the women, sometimes men, and they know that a cure is inevitable.

It is early detection that is important.

If you have both breasts and a penis you must be a hermaphrodite. What size are your breasts, twinkletoes? Are they as big as Dolly's or are they small like your Asian girlfriends?

No logansdad, once again you're off the 'mark' totally.

The point I was making was that it does feel differently to her and crow when it involves her daughter's life. But is so different, to them, when cf says he/she'd like to see my son tortured and killed by our enemies.

Walking in different shoes helps us all understand it doesn't feel good at all....rather than praising crowfarm for her vicious, vile, hatefilled attacks.

No Linda I do not see it differently at all. This a public forum and we all are bound by the terms in which we signed up under. We can all post what we want as long as it falls within those guidelines. With that said I am neither justifying nor condoning crow's actions. However you want it both ways. You are quick to criticize and want justice when you or your family is attacked by others on this board. However in the time I spent on this board, I have yet to see a post from you where you stepped up to criticize a posting from Bear, twinkletoes or others on this board that were made against me, crowfarm (when she first signed on)or anyone else that you have disagreed with. I only see you defending posters who have the same views as you.

Then you have the nerve to say this:
Walking in different shoes helps us all understand it doesn't feel good at all....rather than praising crowfarm for her vicious, vile, hate filled attacks.

You call yourself a Christian and say you are religious but then yet you criticize those from Canada and say they should not even voice their opinions about the elections because they are not from this country. Once again where were you defending those that were verbally attacked by "your friends". Lastly, you keep referring to those who attack the troops as terrorists. Why don't you use what you said above: "Until you walk in someone's shoes...maybe you don't understand what it feels like to have an idiot....Walking in different shoes helps us all understand it doesn't feel good at all...." and think how the mothers of Iraqi children feel when US troops come barging into their homes and take their sons away. I bet they would refer to the US troops as terrorists if you were in the same situation. However when I said that months ago you claim the troops are only doing their jobs. Once again the double standard by you.

If you do not like what other people post, you have two choices, put that person on ignore or don't post here if you can not take the heat. You do not see crow complaining when other people on this board post "vile things" about her.

Linda, maybe crowfarm's mention of your son was intended to raise your consciousness and awaken, if possible, some empathetic feelings toward victims of torture and war tragedies. Could imagining someone that you love being tortured or killed increase your empathy toward other people in those situations?

LOL logansdad - You done preachin' yet?

You are quick to criticize and want justice when you or your family is attacked by others on this board. However in the time I spent on this board, I have yet to see a post from you where you stepped up to criticize a posting from Bear, twinkletoes or others on this board that were made against me, crowfarm (when she first signed on)or anyone else that you have disagreed with.

Really? Well the reason for that is THOSE people HAVEN'T made vile, venonous, hatefilled statements to me. I will respond to what I want to respond to....not what YOU think I should respond to. Take care of your own actions and I'll take care of mine. How's that?

I only see you defending posters who have the same views as you. I have never defended their actions that I feel were inappropriate. I have thousands of times agreed with what they've said is their own position.

Then you have the nerve to say this:
Walking in different shoes helps us all understand it doesn't feel good at all....rather than praising crowfarm for her vicious, vile, hate filled attacks.

Nerve? LOL There's ONLY truth in them there words.....truth is hard to face and deal with for someone like you I guess. It's not for me.

You call yourself a Christian and say you are religious but then yet you criticize those from Canada and say they should not even voice their opinions about the elections because they are not from this country.

I have never said that....that's what kiara keeps saying but I've never said that....I enjoy KD's posts. And I DISAGREE with many of her and kiara
's positions....their 'take on their own country and my country's policies....and that's my RIGHT to do so, logansdad...it's called FREE SPEECH. lol

Once again where were you defending those that were verbally attacked by "your friends".

Once again, it's not my place to defend anyone.....I'm only responsible for my own actions and words. Call me on those, anytime, sweetheart, but you won't be forcing me to get involved in other's spats.

Lastly, you keep referring to those who attack the troops as terrorists.

You're NEVER going to change the way I see and support MY country. NEVER. If you're against our Nation's politics....if you're not supporting our policies....then you are acting in an anti-American way. I have no respect for someone like you who if push came to shove wouldn't fight for our country.. ..but who rather chooses to sit back and enjoy every benefit it offers all the while complaining for the 'rights' of our enemies.

See.....sympathy for our enemies.

I bet they would refer to the US troops as terrorists if you were in the same situation.

I would hope I'd be smart enough to realize that these people came here to give us our first touch of FREEDOM....a chance to rule ourselves....and not be so stupid as to fight the hand that feeds me.

However when I said that months ago you claim the troops are only doing their jobs. Once again the double standard by you. There's no 'double standard'....you're on the enemies side and I'm on our side. That's the biggest difference.

If you do not like what other people post, you have two choices, put that person on ignore or don't post here if you can not take the heat.

LOL No #*!@!!! How original of you.
But I will do as I wish.

You do not see crow complaining when other people on this board post "vile things" about her. LOL defend away.....birds of a feather ..as they say.
She/he gets what she gives....I pride myself on the fact I don't treat others that way. I disagree with their positions and your's but I've never call you any hateful names nor wished you harm nor to your family members. THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE YOU SEEM SO WILLING TO OVERLOOK

Of course I am not done "preaching". I don't live in the Bible Belt and I am not standing on a pulpit so I am not preaching. But if you want to hear me preach I can become a minister if that will make you happy.

Really? Well the reason for that is THOSE people HAVEN'T made vile, venonous, hatefilled statements to me.

Who said "your friends" had to make vile statemens toward you. You obviously didn't didnt grasp a word I said in my last post. But that doesn't surprise me because you only want to hear what you want to hear.

I have never defended their actions that I feel were inappropriate.
Well it doesnt appear as if you ever spoke against them when their actions were inappropriate. Which is more of less the same thing.

I would hope I'd be smart enough to realize that these people came here to give us our first touch of FREEDOM....a chance to rule ourselves....and not be so stupid as to fight the hand that feeds me.

You say that now, but until your home is invaded by another country's army and your son is taken away for no reason, you will never truly know what the Iraqi's are thinking now can you....Until you walk in their shoes........

There's no 'double standard'....you're on the enemies side and I'm on our side.

You are so full of it Linda. This proves my point again. Only you can speak your mind, but if anyone else speaks out against Bush or the troops they are anti-American. I got news for you, the first amendment protects my right to free speach. I am glad there are people in this country that do not follow George Bush around like a puppy dog. You have no backbone. If Bush asked you to jump, you would say how high Mr. Bush. You are a mindless drone.

You do not see crow complaining when other people on this board post "vile things" about her. LOL defend away.....birds of a feather ..as they say.
She/he gets what she gives....I pride myself on the fact I don't treat others that way

That is what you think, but I know there are other on here that would agree with me.

Who do you think you are kidding with your nice nice attitude? Your true colors were shown way before you left for your little vacation. So don't think you are fooling with me with your new persona.
