Now twelve, you must understand how upset they are that those who wish to donate money for this celebration are doing so.
After all....look at all the millions moveon.org and Soro's alone spent trying to get their 'anybody but Bush' canidate in office and weren't successful. They're probably just thinking of all the millions wasted on that effort that could have gone to better 'causes'.....

Diaperboy, since the election I've not discussed it or made any comments here about the outcome of it nor have I started any threads...... I haven't even been here for the past month.
Perhaps you've been listening too long to Mommy Dearest or Libra63 who haven't quit whining about the rest of us when they have no reason to do so because hardly any of us have commented on the election.
Like I said, some of us just don't buy into everything that is shoved at us and don't approve of everything without questioning it. I know that may be difficult for you to comprehend as you seem to be one that prefers to be led by the nose ........ of course that's after Mommy Dearest finishes wiping it for you.

Diaperboy, you used my name so I assumed you were addressing me. Speaking of trash sellers, I remember the days when you used to comment that you only sold a movie once in awhile. So now you're a big mover and shaker on ebay because your lemonade stand closed for the winter? lol

Here is some of what the $50M is going toward:
Washington, D.C. is getting ready for one heck of a party next week. President Bush's second inauguration will be the most expensive and elaborate in American history. Fine by me.
But I was thunderstruck today when I saw this quote from the administration's inauguration spokesperson: "We recognize this time that we are a nation at war."
Huh? Next week's festivities will include 9 inaugural balls, a huge youth concert, a massive parade, and an unprecedented fireworks display, etc. The cost will be $40 million.
To be fair, this portion of the inauguration is going to be paid for by private donors. And if the president's supporters want to spend $40 million for an extravaganza in the midst of the troubles in Iraq or the Tsunami disaster... go for it.
I do find it a bit peculiar, however, that when it comes to the separate security costs of the inauguration... the Bush administration is telling Washington, D.C. that the city is on it's own.
As reported earlier this week in "The Washington Post," the Bush administration wants Washington, D.C., for the first time in inauguration history, to pay all of its own expenses. This move will cost Washington, D.C. an estimated $12 million. The administration has told D.C. that in order to pay for next week's police overtime, security fences, and bleachers.... the city should dip into homeland security funds allocated for hospitals, firefighting equipment, and transit command centers.
Some of my fellow D.C. residents have begun to use this as an excuse to revive the debate over DC statehood and the lack of voting representation in Congress. I have a better idea. Given that the administration's decision amounts to a $12 million dollar "inauguration tax" on Washington, D.C.... the city should respond in kind by passing it on to all inauguration participants as a "security tax."
For next week alone, DC should impose a "commuter toll" on all visitors from outside of DC. All vehicles that do not have DC tags would have to stop and pay a fee before entering the city. And every supporter/protestor who wants to line the parade route, would have to pay $5 to get through inauguration security. Furthermore, every band and bugle corps member would have to pay the five bucks before being allowed to line up for the parade along Pennsylvania avenue. On inauguration morning, and after a long bus ride, I'm sure that groups like the "West Monroe High School Marching Band" (Monroe, LA) wouldn't mind writing out an 800 dollar check to the D.C. Treasurer. And most groups would recognize the appropriateness of this "security" tax.
After all, this is Washington, D.C... one of the juiciest targets for terrorists around the globe. And as the administration has already stated about next week's inauguration, "we recognize this time that we are a nation at war."
Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

Kiara is it any different than logansdad and his gay threads, or crowfarm and her demeaning words. And yes I called crowfarm a Jack Pine Savage just to show her that she is not the only one that can degrade a poster. That's worse that a sick rabbit.
During Christmas I posted a thread on
Reggie White. Nothing to do with the election, get it. Who was the first to complain logansdad.
I started threads on Breast Cancer, is that a political thread.
Please NOTE how may postings logansdad has done on politics. He's the one with the problem in more ways than one.
So Please Kiara make a list of what we can write about so that we don't offend anyone on this board.
Since you said you haven't been here in a month I bet you have copied every thread so you can come back and critize.
Remember this is an open discussion board and anything can be posted so get over it.
Oh and BTW the only inaugural we have to compare Bush's too is Clintons, remember the previous president and also what people do with their money is their business, not ours.

Libra63, you have a definite reading comprehension problem, don't you? You can write anything you want here.
My point is that you're continually saying that we are poor losers but you fail to understand that we have the resilience to keep on going and very few are even discussing the election results. Just because some express disapproval of certain things that Bush & Co do it doesn't mean that they are sore losers about the election. Get it?
Since you said you haven't been here in a month I bet you have copied every thread so you can come back and critize.
When I last posted here in early December it was because you were gossiping about me saving threads when I wasn't even posting here and you still have that in your silly head.
Clue in...... there is a drop-down at the top of the page where you can go back a year to find threads and Helen showed us how we can go back even further. Google search can be used too so I don't have to save anything...... and especially so when it's only to correct some of your falsehoods like I did when they were still on the list on the main page from just a day or so earlier.
Remember those moral values you keep flaunting and claim that the rest of us lack because we didn't vote for Bush? Try using those morals for a change instead of spreading untrue gossip.

Yes I remember Kiara and you pulled something out of the middle of a thread. Something you couldn't have found unless you saved it.

Duh......... libra63. The threads I called you on then were only from a couple of days previous and the comments may have been on page 2 or 4....... what does it matter........ a quick search found it. I remember many things, I don't have to save it all on a computer.
I'm truly sorry your memory is so shot that you can't do that anymore but unless you have the capability to view the files on my computers please keep your allegations to yourself. IOW, it all goes back to those moral values you tout........ try using them instead of making up untrue stories about others.

Since your keeping track Kiara here are some more figures to add to your notebook.
Since 12/2/04 I have started 2 threads on The Democrats and not about Clinton. One of the threads is on the DNC talking about needing moral values and the other was also about the DNC talking about who and what kind of a person they need to head the DNC. I think I started 6 all together. Andrea Yates, Reggie White, 2 Breast Cancer. I can answer any thread I want, but I don't start many.
Now since that same day logansdad has start 6 threads on Bush. Other numerous ones.
How many times has crowfarm used cryptic language to swear at me along with many others. But of course you think that is cute. This is one reason she is on ignore as I am sure she doesn't like me but I find her very offensive. Why not get off my back. Now who has the problem. I think it is you.

No Libra63, the pic is a portrayal of you, the Vendio gossip monger.
Where have I mentioned the number of threads anyone has started? I don't care. Your memory is failing you and once again I think you have me mixed up with another poster here. That's how many times now?

Twelvepole, the pic is of you and Libra63. You are the one on the left, taking it all in each time she blabs some more nonsense to you.
Why not get off my back. Now who has the problem. I think it is you.
Libra63 thinks that if someone sticks up for themselves when she is spreading untruths about them that they are 'on her back' so she is the one with the problem.

No, I think Twelve's the one on the right with the knitting needles stuck in his groin. Could explain a lot.
cryptic, 1.a)having a hidden or ambiguous meaning; mysterious; baffling.
What exactly do you mean by my "cryptic" insults.....There's really no mystery there !????????
Now THIS is cryptic..." That's worse that a sick rabbit. "
And your: "And yes I called crowfarm a Jack Pine Savage (and Maggie a stupid alligator hunter ) just to show her that she is not the only one that can degrade a poster. "
