I started another post earlier about whats the deal with people selling their used panties on Ebay. I do pretty well on Ebay, but the greed of an easy dollar is laying claim to my brain. I have so many panties lying in my dresser drawer. When I open the drawer in the morning, they have ceased to really be panties, but piles of ten dollar bills. Panties are the cheapest thing to buy used and the lightest thing to ship. But I do not want to deal with this dark side of myself. A professional business woman with two stores who secretly wants to sell panties. What would become of me? How far would I go once I started? Would I start selling other items. Help me, give me advice on how to keep from being tempted into the sordid side of the auction world!

Artdoggy-
Just be sure they're clean, per eBay standards.

Sure, why not? They're not illegal to sell, are they? I admit to not knowing the intracasies and details involved in the retailing of undergarments, never having done so myself.

Even if you washed them before offering them for sale, which would definetly lower their value, I doubt eBay would allow this sort of auction any more than they did the last few times someone has tried this. I suppose that since it usually makes the evening news and disgusts so many people and turns them off and away from shopping on eBay and mailing in tons of complaints, I shouldn't be surprized to see you getting NARU'd for it.

How does Ebay know if the panties are clean are not? Do they a professional Ebay undercover sniffer? I don't mean this to be tasteless, but hey, how do they know? Why should Ebay tell me to clean my underwear? I sell lots of other things I don 't clean. Cleaning things to much take of the nice antique finish if ya know what I mean, winky winky! In case anyone recalls a post on which I mentioned the used of ducktape in auctions, I support the used of ductape as long as it is painted to match the crack.

Borillar,
eBay wouldn't allow it? Are you kidding me. There are currently over 700 listings for used panties on eBay. And, of course, that doesn't even count those that are selling in the adult section.
Someone posted here not too long ago because she had ads for used panties, and in the pics she was wearing them. I believe Ebay pulled the ads and told her to either use pics of the panties alone or post them in the adult area. But she certaily didn't get NARU'd.
Used panties are BIG sellers. Just check some closed auctions.

Would receiving a clean pair of panties from a seller rate a neg?

Yisgood-
I believe that depends upon whether or not they're listed in the adult section!

Now that is a good question.."if they are clean will you get a neg?". I think that if they are clean and have some sort of phermone based perfume on the crotch, they should be quite pleasing to the buyer? would not you agree. Somthing like a Jovan Musk, that sort of thing.

I'll admit that I don't shop in the Adult section of eBay. Yet, I recall last year when some guy offered up his stained underwear, it hit the national evening news and the auction was pulled. I heard that eBay also received tons of complaints. Maybe this has changed?

The guy that was pulled is not the issue! I am the issue! You are suppose to be saving me from temptation! I am not suppose to sell panties. It should really only be a funny joke, not somthing I am going to actually do! Don't appeal to my lower side. Borillar stop thinking about the past! Everyone is selling their underwear. You might too when you hit dry period. Don't underestimate how far down you can go when business is slow. What about tongue depressors?

eBay won't know but you as the seller will know & should not be responsible for the merchandise that you sell. That's what differentiates the good sellers & the bad. Of course if you are selling fetish stuff, then the smellier the better.
Put it this way, how do the cops know who has dope in his car & who doesn't unless they stop everyone which they don't unless you appear to be smoking a joint while driving & waving to the cops or if there is a snitch.
So if you sell smelly underwear & have a scan of a soil underwear, eBay might know or if someone snitches on you, then they might know. Again bottom line, eBay doesn't check every item that you post. Ask yourself this question, when you list an item does the screen say, 'You auction will be listed pending eBay approval'. It doesn't so why do you expect someone else to be responsible for your actions. Now if eBay does check every posting for approval, I am sure the speech here will be, "My freedom is list is being taken away or who gives eBay the right to decide what can or cannot be listed..damn commies".
But then again, you can pour Hot coffee on yourself and make money too and the public loves you for it because its distribution of wealth from evil corporations to the small guys. So I guess its eBays responsibility for what you list.

When I first started selling on ebay. I thought "Hey this is one big garage sale". And since around here at the garage sales boys underwear go before anything else I listed my sons underwear in pairs of 4 thinking I would get only the .99 starting bid. Was I in for an education!! I remember checking my auctions and seeing they had been bid on and I was grateful they had sold, but the price kept going up! I thought "What in the world is going on????". Then it became clear when bidders with strange names began to email me wanting to know if the "undies" were stained and to what extent. Haven't listed any of his underwear since, and when I list my lingerie I keep the keywords out(ie. sexy, etc.). Don't need anymore of that.

envy how old is/was your son?
that would just SQUICK me to no end.
I'd have no problem selling my own stuff, "sexy" or not, however, but nothing of my children's of that nature, where someone could bid on it because it was my *CHILD'S*, ya know? Ewww. Ewww. Ewww. Tigress mommy kill kill kill.
To the originator of this thread; go for it. I'm surprised I haven't done it yet myself, but I can't figure out which ones sell well and WHY, cuz some seem to bomb badly.
I do sell other "fetish-y" things though from time to time and find they go highest and provide me with some of my BEST bidders, fast payment, courteous, etc.
