dbl - Why wouldn't you just read the link I provided?

It's Woodward's [of Watergate fame - thought all dems like him] opinion that Pres. Bush will talk/push Cheney into running against hillary. Also gives other quotes from Woodward about other issues when he was speaking in Aspen.

Double, in answer to your question about Nycyn, she was VERY funny and had a style nobody's been able to copy. The only thing with her was she claimed to be a rescue worker in the 911 tragedy and was posting daily about the carnage and how stressed it made her. A poster, that's no longer here, even offered her a place to stay at his house to get away because we all thought she was a hero. To make this short, it was all fibs and she made it up because she was lonely, which was sad, but she posted the best manifesto ever on this board which cancelled out all the bs, imo.

Of course, others might have a differing opinion about her.

Whoever played the part of NYCYN was a real pro. No one has been able to top that performance!

You got that right, Helen! You have to admit though, Double is a close second and I'd put Uaru in third place for his use of the English (debatable) language.

Lol...KD....It's been a blast! And I agree that Dbl is a talent that we could use on our side of the fence. This litte hissyfit baby reminds me of some of the recent tirades.

No offense Linda, but I have pretty much decided I am not taking link rides from this board. Please dont take it personally it's just my overall policy.

Ref Woodward: To tell you the truth, I have never cared for him. Whenever I have seen him on tv, there is just nothing that connects me to stay and listen to him or what he has to say. Perhaps it mainly the subject matter, but to me its more like his presentation of it. He drones and meowyawls his words or something! It's taxing to me because my sharpest sense is probably my hearing. Plus since I never got into all the Nixon stuff, unless he has or had a syndicated column, I am even kind of vague about whether I have read anything he's written, although I seem to recall something somewhere with his bi-line across it. He may come off better in writing. I cant say for sure though.

Linda, that's an interesting article about Woodward. Particularly the following blurb, for those who do not like links:

The veteran journalist refrained from criticizing Bush. "If you go back into history, you'll find many instances of presidents making unpopular decisions," he said. "History teaches you that the most important trait a president can have is simply courage, and courage often means walking the road alone."

Another definition of courage is to fight for your country in war......bush DIDN'T. Where's the courage to repeat something over and over again ?

CONGRATULATION dblfugger9, your PRETTY FACE post made several people that I showed it laugh today.

Double CONGRATULATIONS, I am guessing you may have set a new board record. You have made 35 COMPULSIVE REPLIES to your PRETTY FACE issue so far and still going strong.

The compulsive dblfugger9, wants a guy like me to take her PRETTY FACE issue seriously. LOL

dblfugger9, wants a guy like me to show respect to her compulsive wacko CON-servative behavior and CON-servative LIES? Ha,ha,ha

Guess what dblfugger9 no matter how you try you ain't no Carl Rove. Rove is a much better CON-servative LIE spreader.

Although remarkably touching, I don't know of any President that started an unjustified war and walked the road alone.

LOL! Another back-handed compliment democrats are so famous for round here! Tell me Helen, have you figured out where the line in the sand is yet in Iraq? What is with this, "We" and "our side" talk? Youre starting to sound like Linda Here!

Too bad your maggie wasnt willing to come to "your side" during a rag-tag heated debate with your arch rival there. She instead, choose to give smoochies and coweringly beg apology, hoping she wasnt offending Ms. Linda.

"Your side???" What does that mean here? And do you think you could apply that mentality to our soldiers benefit in Iraq?

"Although remarkably touching, I don't know of any President that started an unjustified war and walked the road alone."

Historically, that would be virtually any President in any war we've ever fought.

Roosevelt was a "war monger" selling weapons to England, ditto Truman.

Lincoln had riots in the North.

Wilson in his first term. He got elected for the second because "he kept us out of war".

Probably only the Spanish American war and the War of 1812 are exempt from the statement.

Get real, Dbl. Everyone on the Democratic "side" of the fence can stand alone. We don't need or want backup.

KD - What's up with calling Caroline MR?

Is that like calling davebraun MRS? LOL
--------

No offense taken, dbl. To each his/her own.

----------

Caroline - I know. And this President is sticking to his decisions as any man with good character would. So unlike the democratic ones who LIVE by and take polls to see when the American public thinks they should have a BM. Changing their decisions according to the lastest 'poll' result.
