LMHO Kiara!! And neither of us deals in reality either. She's so mean!

"Yes, KD, that's the proper spelling. NOW you going to any the question about whether or not you'd mak the pledge to our flag and country?"

Linda, usually you're a good speller and your sentences are well formed. Have you been into the sauce or something? Also, what on earth does making a Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. have to do with anything? It's like me asking if you've committed to the 10 Commandments.

Now, that's a keeper. Hahaha!

Nobody should ""any" the question. It will only be a response that she will "mak" into something else...beyond all recognition of your intention.

Frustration has it's way of showing itself in odd places, Helen.

I suspect the problem may be deeper than frustration.

Much deeper.

It's a very simple question, KD.....too hard for your to say yes or no to? Instead you ask another question.

And why the American Voters chose to RE-elect President Bush to four more years. YES!!!

There you go again, kaira.....with your broken crystal ball.

hmmmm....wonder why the lefties and our Canadian neighbors can't answer a simple question? Instead they divert, divert but always make mention that their questions aren't being answered. hypocrites....

No diversion...... I'm a free thinking individual who doesn't get bullied by old meanies who keep making demands and calling names on a chat board.

Maybe go walk barefoot in the dirt and smell some flowers and actually pick some of them and put them in a vase by your keyboard ..... maybe that will lighten up your mood a bit and bring a smile right from your heart. Try it!

Linda, I don't mind answering your question. I just wanted to know what it has to do with anything.

I said it every morning in school. We all did. Now can you answer mine?

There's not a thing wrong with my mood or anything else you fantasize about kiara....you're never correct when playing your guessing games about me. Get a life of your own and quit telling me what and how I should live mine. It's not your place, your responsibility, nor your business.

Can't answer simple questions. If anyone asked me if I'd pledge my allegiance to Canada....I could say NO in a nano-second. But it appears the lefties here can't....

....that may well be the reason for what they're always saying AGAINST the US. It's not really against Bush's policy only that they're complaining about all the time....it's AMERICAN POLICY they want to change. Just don't have the guts to admit it...nor to answer one simple question.

Cowards.

Thank you, KD. To which country....Canada or America or both at different times? Which country would you defend/stick up for IF forced to choose between the two?

That's what I've been asking.

Hmmm..... just trying to help you here, lindak because you always sound so much on edge.

Okay, how about putting on your combat boots and stomping that field of flowers right to the ground while you curse out a few more Canadians and a few more leftie dems? That ought to give you a few moments pleasure.

Or how about taking one of those blonde Barbies and you punch the lights out of her pretty little head while you think of me. Bet that would really relieve some of that pent up frustration you've got going deep inside, eh?

Linda, I don't think I'll ever be in the situation where I would have to choose allegiance to either country. If pitted against each other, of course Canada would lose against the U.S., so I'm unsure what you mean still.

KD - I'm trying to get a serious answer from you....is that so hard for you to do?

Imo, when people have dual citizenship they can have a stronger allegiance to one over the other.

They can feel the same about both...and wouldn't be able to choose one over the other.

Or they do have strong feelings for one country but for whatever reason they live in a different one...but still hold their 'mother' country as the one they'd defend with their lives.

Some as I suspect of kiara...aren't the type of person to give their allegiance to any country....they're like nomads. Won't commit to the value systems/policies of any country. They don't value much that any country stands for/offers. Just doesn't matter to them as long as they can go about their lives in relative peace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

No KD, I'm asking about loyality to which country. Not who you'd guess would win if there were war between the two.

Just which countries side you'd be on ....rooting for....*hoping* they'd be the successful one, in either a war or a disagreement about some policy issue that the two countries didn't agree upon.

OK, I'll put on my serious cap for you.

The only thing I can tell you is if you're born in a country and move to another one, your heart is always in the one you left behind, imo. As for defending, I would defend both countries equally as I don't see much difference in the two. If I had to die for either country, it would depend on which country offered the most in return.

Why not be loyal to both countries? Hell, I could be loyal to the entire world.

I commit to the value systems I believe in and of course I value what a country stands for and what it offers, not just to me but to everyone that resides there and also what the country offers to the rest of the world. Yes, I love to live in relative peace and I'd love to see that for everyone in other countries also. Most wars are started by power hungry individuals who think only of their own self-interests and not of others that they involve in them. Huge amounts of money are wasted on needless wars when it could be spent to benefit all mankind in one way or another and countless lives are lost.

Like Helen, I could be loyal to the entire world and it’s a silly question asking anyone to choose one country over another such as with Canada and the US when there is no real reason to. Maybe if someone in charge in one country covets another country’s resources to the point where they would just declare war in order to get them with total disregard for the citizens of either country, instead of working out a trade deal or actually purchasing the resources? Then I would probably fault the stupid leaders that started it all and not the countries or their citizens.

Linda, do you know something we don't? Is Bush planning on liberating Canada or something? If you can't talk about it, just give me a signal of some kind so Kiara and I can start to prepare.

Well...logan....I'll take the word of our own returning VETS over what some liberal or international site says.

Don't you want to clarify that statement Linda. Are you going to believe the words of the Veterans that also speak out against the war or only those that support your version of what is going on in Iraq?

I asked a question about the lefties here and their willingness to put your hand on your heart, and say and mean the Pledge of Alligance to our American Flag and our Country. Are you willing to do that? A simple yes or no is all that's being asked for.

Perhaps I will answer your question when you answer mine. I asked you what other countries besides the US should have the ability to have nuclear weapons?

I also asked you should a country's leader do whatever it takes to protect its citizens?

The first one does require more than a yes or no answer, but the second doesn't

This is just more of your little sandbox games Linda. You expect people to answer your questions, but yet you refuse to answer questions asked by others.

Now why don't you but your hand over your mouth because there has been a lot of hypocrisy coming out if it.

I don't know, Kraft. Maybe she doesn't understand how we can't show the same frenzied loyalty and adoration that she does for her leader so she thinks we're weird and maybe she's getting a bit paranoid and imagining all kinds of things.

Lindak always demands an answer and when there is not a simple yes or no, 'choose this or choose that' answer because I don’t think that way, she will once again not approve of mine.

For some who blindly follow a leader who they think does no wrong, they just ‘stay the course’ and remain loyal and choose the simplistic path of obedience and think most questions can be answered with only two choices (which the leader decides for them). That’s perfect for some but not all of us.
