Colin, you doing me...or am I doing you? Cause everybody knows I dont like them either. Mark aint gonna like that. He went through an awful lot of trouble with those smiley's. And, Frog stomping?? Is that like jumping from board to board stomping? Have you done the benjamin stomping too? I liked that show Stomp! I audtitioned but I didnt make it. Oh well, hope you remember to carry your dental floss with you on those campouts

Classic, I don't hate anyone myself, but I don't subscribe to nazi or communist beliefs. Helen doesn't either, yet if one of us asks a simple question, we are told we're communists or nazis - but only by the religious right.
I'm constantly wondering where all that anger comes from. Does religion make people angry, because that's the only common thread I can see between these posters.
Again, my question was, what do you do when you see a poster losing it?

As bad as mingotree posts, still you can't make that decsion.

Thank-you for being civil, Washingtonebayer. When a person posts a certain way for a long time, then suddenly starts posting in an unusually destructive way, it makes you wonder why their posts are so out of character and what's going on with them. Most of us have been able to 'agree to disagree' with Linda, but something changed around October or November last year. That's when she started calling all of us liars and started using too many LOL's. It seems to have just gotten worse from that point. I don't want to encourage her if she's just out for revenge or whatever, but I also don't want to ignore her if there's something wrong.

Actually, Mingo was posting at Otwa for several months before linda arrived. So, although Mingo enjoys zapping linda, you can't accuse her of stalking linda to Otwa because Mingo was there first.
Mingo has been posting since July 1, 2005 and linda has been posting only since Dec. 31, 2005.

I don't know that that means anything. I posted there two or three years ago. I've long ago forgotten the password, but I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could prove I was there before either of them. It doesn't mean I paid any attention to OTWA in the meantime.

Mingo has been posting for a year at Otwa. Her first post was Jan.31, 2005.
No Helen, mingo's first joined OTWA 6/30/05.
Linda_K joined OTWA Nov, 2001.
Mingo made her first 22 OTWA posts from 7/01/05 to 7/10/05. There were no more posts from mingo until....

But when someone posts utter stupity and lies on a continuing basis I feel like answering. I've never suggested feeling "sorry" for the troll. Never. What I've suggested is feeling absolutely nothing for the troll. No love; no hate; no kindness; no pity; no kinship; no derision...nothing. What I've suggested is that you delete the existence of the troll. It's like spraying Febreeze (the very best monster-repellent ever invented!) under the bed when your 4-year old tells you tells you there's a monster. Poof! Spritz! Monster gone. That's the post Helen took the poof! spritz! from and used it earlier with no explination of origin. If I had not already read the OTWA thread, I would not have known what you were referring to Helen.
Another example of mingo's compulsive obsession with Linda_K, is her postings on TRS. Mingo has made a grand total of 12 posts at TRS and 8 of them were about Linda_K.
I'm not defending Linda_K or her stated views that she is posting. I am only correcting some inaccuracies you stated which are easily verifiable by looking at the individual member's profile page and posting history.

The story behind those suggestions by Hellcat
Linda had been characterized at Otwa as a troll. The consensus of opinion there was to ignore linda's posts with the assumption that she might leave or at least modify her posting style if there was no response to her posts. I understand Hellcat's very kind suggestion to Mingo and I agree that it was certainly worth a try.
