I'm for NPB's not being able to leave feedback too. I NEVER leave negative feedback on a deadbeat bidder because I've gotten a few retaliatories for doing so and am now paranoid of leaving anyone a neg, no matter how much they deserve it and no matter how much other sellers truly deserve the warning.

First of all, let me THANK eBay for being here. It is a wonderful trading place.
If I really were Mrs Claus and I could ask Santa to change a few things for me, this is what would be on my wish list:
1. WATCH THIS ITEM - It seemed to me like once this came onto the scene buyers began watching - and stopped bidding. I know I am guilty of this. I watch 10 or 12 items I really should be bidding on, then forget about them - until it is too late. Before watch this item, I would have immediately placed a bid on items I liked so that (OK this is gonna sound lazy) I would remember when someone outbids me and I get the notice from eBay in my eMail to go back over and bid higher. OR if I really wanted them item I would just bid my maximum right at the start. Also, with watch this item sniping has become a way of life - keeping bids low and profits for all on the lighter side.
2. HALF.COM - Guys, I am a direct victim of the Blockbuster/Hollywood Video wars. After seeing how predatory things turned out in that industry I find it very disheartening to see ads on search pages for Half.com. Is it really fair to have an eBay seller spend alot of time taking pictures and researching an item to have a potential buyer find it on eBay only to have an ad on the auction page saying "Like this book? Buy it at Half.com cheaper!" Please research the video industry a little bit and see what happened there. That is a wonderful industry that has all but been destroyed. There is plenty of room on the internet for both eBay and Half.com Please do not destroy the book, movie and music sellers on eBay for the sake of those on Half.com!
3. FEEDBACK FORUM - Absolutely wonderful! Being able to read the comments and follow the trail you can learn alot about a seller - and a buyer in a few minutes. It is much more informative than just a numerical system.
4. BUY IT NOW - Very interesting addition. I have used it with success - and passed on it with even greater success. I think it adds a neat twist!
5. MODERATED THREAD - It would also be fantastic if there was a board somewhere that was moderated by a member of the eBay staff, kind of link Paypal Damon does here. It would be great if there was a place you could go and post a question and get an answer quickly. Of course, this might already exist - and I just don't know about it....
Of course, these are only my opinions -- and they are stated publicly and honestly in an effort to make eBay a better marketplace for all. Please do not hate me - or retaliate against me for them.

UPDATE:
This morning i received an email from ebay conerning all this. looks like i have to figure out how to get a permit for my geese? i really have NO idea how in the world i am going to accomplish this, since there is no U.S. fish and wildlife office near me. i guess i will have to do some searching on the net. i was thinking that i could dig out an old sale-bill from when i bought the last batch of goslings... but now it looks like even that won't work, they won't accept even that. i need a permit to prove that this breed of toulouse geese had to use the mayflower to migrate to the U.S.???
I was hoping that i could take a picture of Mrs. Kravits (the head goose) with a rocket strapped to her fat butt.... but doesn't look like that will appease ebay PTB either.
i have heard talk that ebay is slowly (seemed rather abrupt to me, in my case) forcing the small seller out. this is insane.
below, is a copy/paste of this mornings email from ebay:
Hello Marie,
Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue.
We can certainly understand your concern regarding this issue. However,
our policy clearly states that all geese are considered migratory birds
for the purposes of this policy and that if you wish to list any captive
breed waterfowl you would need a permit from the US Fish & Wildlife
service. Since we do not possess the items listed on our site cannot
verify that these are eggs from domestic geese. Therefore the auctions
were ended properly. You are, however, welcome to relist your painted
geese eggs with a scan of the permit. Paintings of endangered species
are permitted to be listed on our site. For more information on this
policy please see:

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help you with your concerns.
If you need any additional information, remember our help pages are
filled with helpful information. You can locate our help pages, by

If I'm understanding this correctly, you have to get a permit to sell the eggs whether or not they came from a migratory bird???? Call me jaded, but I can already hear the conversation with Fish & Wildlife: "But ma'am, we can't give you a permit for that breed because it's not migratory!"
Maybe you ought to avoid all the hassle and start selling very expensive empty boxes.
