I just posted a thread entitled Bomb Shelter. It contained positive commentary on the Bombshelter and members. It also contained commentary on Parrot. I checked and it was there. I noticed some errors. I went in and edited. Checked and it was here. Now it is gone. The entire thread!!!! What do you guys think? Has this happened to you?

Redhead, you're not in Kansas anymore...

Seems one cannot reference other boards nor the activities which occur on them here. I saw your original post. If ya still have it, put it up at R's. Plenty want to see it, and putting it there will not interfere with MichelleG's appointed tasks...

Pat and Lotsafuzz,

I don't know what will happen. Just make sure you remember what I wrote. Please. I told you on the other thread, someone has threatened me. Threatened my life. I am still waiting on the Police.

So sorry this happened to you

Someone here yesterday said he knew the identity of the sociopath who is probably behind all of this. I hope for Redhead's sake that he has communicated the name of the person to Redhead, so she can give it to the authorities and they can get to the bottom of this. Anyone who knows who did this and is covering for this person can be considered part of what he/she is doing, if they don't step forward now and help Redhead.

From what I've read, if the threat was made using a proxy server, it is still vulnerable to identification now that the police are involved. It might take official requests to a number of servers within the proxy's network to obtain their keys, but once gotten, those could be used to piece together the path to the "nym" and get his/her IP and email addy. The creep should be gotten, one way or another.

pareau,
Why don't you stop your silly posturing.

In the first place you don't know that any threat occured, in the second you entreat any knowledgeable party to 'help' redhead, and in the third you state that the law enforcement agency(s) can track down the person, if one exist, without any assistance.

I think that any information given as you suggest would not be considered verifiable, and you are starting to remind me of those cliche' TV murderers who hang around the police in order to check on the investigation and give all assistance that they can in leading the police to anyone else as the murderer. That character is also, as you probably know, the one who protests foul the loudest when the police eventually turn to place their suspicion upon the helper.

You wish, krs. You wish. Curious you're trying to discourage others from helping Redhead. Highly curious, and quite worth noting. By all.

I thought you'd pounce on this, and show yourself. Thanks for taking the bait. Another saver.

It's interesting that it is no longer acceptable to mention other boards here. I'm reminded of Mark allowing us to discuss the unexpected closure of AU, and several threads relating to AD. None of those were moderated or unceremoniously locked.

Of course, silly me, I'm assuming there's some consistency in the decrees and declarations that are made around here.

S'kitty,

It has long been AWs policy to not allow discussion of other boards. They have, on several occasions, allowed it for short term very specific threads. And some of us slip one or two comments in on occasion (remember we used TOP for quite some time).

I think the policy is a little petty and sorta foolish...but it is their policy and has been.

Did you have a nice time? Get any pictures? Learn to yodel? (well it has to sound better than that damn yowl you let out last week)

GF: I didn't learn to yodel, but I did hear yodeling. Practiced my very rusty HS French, which probably sounded as bad as a yowl. Got scads of cow pics. Joked to the tom that we drove almost 7 hours just so we could stand in the rain and take pics of decorated cows...

We had a grand time, even if it was raining.

Pareaut,

Haven't you any idea how absurd and foolish you've made yourself appear?

While your paranoic rantings continue and you wallow around in the muck of whatever is left of your mind, Redhead has been given all available information as to IPs and alternative email addresses known to have been used by the POSSIBLE perpetrator of the POSSIBLE threat.

As to your "thought you'd pounce on this, and show yourself.", your implication could hardly be more clear and I'm afraid that you will not be pleased with the result.
As to "saving", as you may or may not have noted last night, your every utterance is and has been "saved".

Say you? I'm not buying, and there is no way you could make such an assertion unless YOU--KRS--has "all available information." How on earth could that be? I think, again, that you want to discourage people from helping Redhead, and I think, again, that people should ignore you completely.

No one but you, krs, is posting doubts that there's been a threat made. No one but you. That's worth noting. A number of us were out here online while this was going on, including you, and no one has voiced such suspicions. No one but you, who made a number of posts in the Moderator's Corner during that timeframe, but did not post on the "angel" thread there, and did not post on the threads here in the RT discussing the incident at the same time. Yet you post now, in what seems to be an effort to keep people from contributing what they may know to Redhead's effort to identify the person who did this to her--at first by trying to cast doubt on whether there was a legitimate threat, and then by saying she'd already been given "all available information as to IPs and alternative email addresses known to have been used by the POSSIBLE perpetrator of the POSSIBLE threat."

This smells.

pareau & krs

Enough already! It's blatantly obvious to all you don't like eachother and are each suspicious of the other's actions. Stop with the vague accusations - use the ignore button.

And if I have to tell you 2 once more, I'm turning the car around and we're all going home...

Ridiculous even more. How much more have you got?

As if any of what went on is any of your business. You say that I'm discouraging mythical others from giving information to Redhead when I know that she has been given all that anyone has to give? I think that your blathering now results only from the fact that that information has not been given to YOU, as if anyone would.

So sorry Pareau, but you do sound very much as if you are hoping to have a spotter who would let you know if the hounds are nearby.

Others, including involved enforcement agencies, as well as Redhead herself, would not care to satisfy your need for a public spectacle.

So if you are truly in the belief that you are acting in the interest of the person affected, you are very wrong and are exhibiting an extraordinary amount of indescretion.

LOL plsmith!

MichelleG I have a friend, and when her kids were 12 or so, and fighting in the car, she literally pulled the car over (one time on the side of the interstate) and made them do 100 push ups. She was tough!

reau (I suppose if its ok to call me Herr, its okey dokey to call ya that heh

Redhead seemed to have all the support she needed.

AW knows about it, and I'm sure will do what they can, with whatever information, by law is given to them.

But you have been very kind and helpful to her, as I am sure her and her family are very grateful

Oh for crying in a bucket, Pareau. Are you just unable to stop yourself?

Information for you...just you:

When I signed on at 4:30 (CDT, in case you're wondering) this morning, the first thing I saw was an email from KRS, urging me to read about the threat to Redhead, and the threads that concerned that situation. And further urging me to provide her with all the information I had about the 'bird' in question...information I had, but he did not, and which included the specific RL identity, user ids, IP addresses and "freemail" addresses used by that person. His was a reaction of concern...an urging to help. I gathered the data, and provided it.

Do I give a damn if you believe me? No, I do not. I frankly don't give a damn what you believe. You 'presume' based on where someone "doesn't" post? Did it ever occur to you that Ken was "doing" something (mostly trying to wake me up, perhaps?) while you were posturing about what posts you had 'captured'? While you were playing games with Russian toilet paper.

You pretend to knowledge of people and motivations that you do not have, and you pitch a hissy fit if someone suggests that you are without information, as you typically are. You know nothing, Pareau, beyond the King's English, and smarmy implication. You edit to delete your posts after the fact, and never stop to realize that, just as you are quick on the HTML 'capture', others have that same skill and facility. A simple automation process...no one has to even endure the agony of reading the pap.

Would you like to know what you said (originally, pre-edit) on 2/16/00 at 9:55:28 pm on the "Table for 316" thread in the former "General Chat" area of AW? That can certainly be arranged, although it appears that your archives may be more corpulent than my own, so just look it up, honey.
