Stoooop it you guys! You're making me cry!!

I too look forward to greeting my day, cup of coffee in hand, mouse and keyboard at the ready. What creatures of habit we are.

What a day. All this going on, and I get monerated over on the RT for something totally unrelated to the new fees. Who would have thought it. Time to start counting to 10 before posting. I got my shorts in a twist over this, and let fly on something totally unrelated. Harumph!

Hope you guys don't leave me! I'm staying - on the boards only - I don't use an auction launch program.

All of you have filled my head with tons of info, and I have shared what I've learned with others.

It's funny, I first discovered AW when Mr.Haney and (what's him name) we're having it out over that ring he bought for his wife. Somehow, I don't remember, but I was surfing the net, saw a caution/warning about buying on eBay that was related to the ring fiasco, and boing ended up here, through links. I haven't left since.

When I tell my spouse some of the stories about you characters, we both get a good laugh. The spouse shares the (you won't believe this) stories with people at work and now they are here too. For all I know some of you people are my RL friends! Wouldn't that be a hoot!

Anyway, I sure enjoy all of you, even those who get a bit huffy at times. Thanks...

BTW, what ever happened with the ring dispute? Did that guy ever get his money back?

ExecutiveGirl,

I hope YOU are not thinking of leaving the messageboards? I come here mainly to read your horror stories!!

Like a lot of people here I don't use the AW software but launch from Ebay and use my own ISPs webspace (10 meg) + ws_ftp. Way back when I first got on the internet in 1996 I even wrote my own logon scripts too (culled from a book) because no ISP in the UK would support Mac users (I've since migrated to a PC **sigh**). Compared to most of you I'm just small time when it comes to auctions. Had my first auction finish in excess of $200 last week though! **happy dance**

Anyway, I'm quite happy to continue hanging out here. I've learnt a lot and its something to do in my lunchbreak at work. But my question is.........are you all staying??

PS EG - RU REALLY an 'Executive' Girl? Just curious!! I was thinking last night....better hurry up and ask the question B4 she disappears!!

Fallen_madonna: I will only leave these AW message boards when and if they ever become inaccessible! I am very much hooked on these boards.

PS EG - RU REALLY an 'Executive' Girl?

Not exactly. I worked for a lawyer before and was an office manager for a pretty large company right before I quit to work on Ebay full time. Quit the best job I ever had, great benefits, GREAT pay - and just took the risk and quit to work at home. But I haven't regretted it once! And I can now say THIS is the best job I've ever had!

AW won't be closing its doors, they offer valuable service at reasonable costs....for some people, not me. I use the image hosting only, and ten cents average per image hosted is a joke. I'm not going to patronize this site any longer after March 14, I don't want to give AW my page views for advertising revenue no longer.

I'll ocassionally view other site's boards, but I think this allows me more time to change my habits and devote it towards growing my business.

Quickdraw & Dana, please email me if you get a minute.

They will probably delete this.

I'm here for the duration and have every confidence that AW is, also.

I might lurk here, there and everywhere, but AW's boards are, by far, the best.

There are many posters in the eBay Outlook and The Round Table for whom I have a lot of
admiration and respect. I can't imagine not spending each part of my day with them.

They educate me; they make me think; they make me laugh; and, they make me cry.

Even though I stopped selling on eBay last year, I never considered leaving AW.

If you want to look at a new message board (so new they don't have a moderator!), try www.crackerbarrel.com/neighborhood Of course, they want you to talk about their restaruant, but there are the "misc." and "other" categories....always talk auctions or whatever. Most of the posters on the cracker barrel board are hopping mad about the restaurant ending their rewards program. If you have an opinion on that subject, feel free to express it. They wouldn't know what hit them if everyone from AW moved over there!!

I've heard the Helen Waite has a good site.

Maybe we should all go there.

Is there any truth to the rumor about eBay buying AuctionWatch?

Geez, twinsoft where'd you get that?

Or, are you being facetious? (No smiley, so I couldn't tell).

There is no reason for eBay to buy Auctionwatch. Ebay already "owns" Auctionwatch.

Hello Everyone,

This thread is locked as it seems to be a recruitment center for other boards.

Please do not start another thread on this subject.
