I went to a different post office yesterday and it took the clerks 15 minutes to find the 4 pages of instructions they had which basically said not top scan it and don't charge for it. I can't figure out why eBay sellers always seem to know more about how the Postal system works than the employees.

My post office is a one room, country type with 1 postmaster and a part time clerk. It was not very difficult working through the new details, charges etc. I am apparntly the only one doing it in my area - Not very surprising.
I tried it for real yesterday and it works great. My postmaster was somewhat fimiliar. They don't scan accepted but the USPS web site does show a hit after 10pm EST. That enough for me and gives the customer that"warm cozy feeling" It also looks very professional on the USPS link. Not to mention the labels are very professional looking.
Apparantly there is a special code that needs to be entered in the computer that shows D.C. without charge. When I go today, I will see if she will give me the code and I'll pass it on. Might help others who are having difficulty educating thier post office.
