That was my original point when posting.
You add up ALL income (this includes shipping and handling fees) - Every penny of it, and that is your gross. You subtract every single penny of expenses, like the amount you pay for envelopes, tape, postage, ebay fees, even gas to get to the post office (That is deductible) and what you have is your net. You don't just add up the auction totals without shipping! That is why undercharging for shipping ultimately reduces your gross and net income, it is a bad idea...You don't get that money back.
