Wacko of the Month: Buyer who has been registered on eBay since January (Christmas computer, I'm sure). She has been the winning bidder on items such as a $5000 armoire, $2000 oil painting, lots of decorative pieces selling for hundreds. From me, she buys a $30.00 mirror. Glowing feedback from all the high-end sellers. "Immediate payment. Pleasure to do business with." She e-mails me with her address, I send her charges ($35.27). She then proceeds to drop off the face of the earth. I e-mailed her two weeks after the end of auction, no reply. Again, a week later, no reply. I then filed a NPBA (no response), waited ten days, filed for an FAV credit, left her a neg. TWO WEEKS after that I get an e-mail from Bidpay stating that a money order was on its way. JEEEEEEZZZZZ!!! I e-mailed her again, explained that I had been compelled to file a NPBA and leave negative feedback, which I could not change. She didn't respond to that e-mail either. But -- of course -- left me a neutral (the day the item was shipped) stating that I was "not nice". Evidently she only will communicate with sellers in a certain socioeconomic group, doesn't want to dirty up her e-mail folder with correspondence to us $30.00 sellers.

I'd like to know - how do you "void a sale" on ebay?

Tearing up the check and tossing it in the wastebasket has always worked for me.

"Oh sorry, looks like your payment never arrived. Go figure."

u guys rock...made me feel better...yes if she had given me a hard time up front I would have sent check back to her..she recieved item then started whining..(gheesh i spent more on bubble wrap than i made you all know the feeling?LOL)
Yes! i had a sales final in my tos...had taken that out..but in this case since she is blind..she would have probably still hassled me..
but,,,that is a great idea..i am going to put sales final back in, years of no one even trying to return a thing..also to please read the whole description & look at the pics..in this case i used a/w pics...i don't think she "read" the click to enlarge picture..since she obviously cannot read..

Computerboy - you've got guts! Good for you. As for me, I bow under and snivel and grovel to protect my precious feedback. Speaking of precious feedback, Isn't it an ebay policy that when someone has (-4) feedback they get kicked out? Does that me that they have four negative feedbacks? Or does that me they have so many negative feedbacks that their total feedback is -4? "Cause this lady who's freaking me out has 800+ overall 200+ from unique users -4 from unique users.

That would be a negative 4 rating not 4 negative feedbacks. I know of a seller that has nearly 3000 negatives and they are selling like crazy.

How's this for wacko feedback...especially when the buyer never sent payment after 6 weeks, numerous emails w/no reply?
"Complaint : very evil and she lies. probably ugly."
I have over 1900 positive feedbacks and couldn't believe this one...I reported it to ebay but don't think they will do anything as it doesn't really violate their policy......had another feedback that was a neutral this week stating I make money off of shipping...in my listings I stated the shipping/handling charge in the description so there are no surprises (in this case it was $3.00 shipping/handling in an envelope) for 2 new batting gloves in package...if they bidders think that is too high then they shouldn't bid...I'm also finding more and more bidders don't respond to the WBN and I have to email several times before I know if they are going to complete the transaction...I sell in a number of categories and it doesn't seem to matter which one...

WHAT????!!!! 4000 negs? No way! You're kidding, right? I've never seen such a thing. You wouldn't be able to post the userID so I could see such a phenomenon in person would you? I think it's against the rules, huh? Anyway, all I can say is WOW! Weird!

The person who spoke of these inconsiderate buyers sucking the energy out of you hit it on the head. After selling for a while, I think it's almost automatic that you adopt this type of attitude.

The truth is that many out there are very inconsiderate and unreasonable. They are often kids that get involved in business transactions and do not how to properly conduct themselves in transactions. Take for example a recent negative feedback comment we received. The negative comment message read somthing to the effect of "Not what I expected". The comment itself cracks me up, as we are always careful to properly describe the items we sell and provide an actual photograph. This being the case, how in the world can someone bid and receive an item and it not be what they expected? It boggles the mind.

I've given up trying to reason with these people, as it can't be done. It has proven to be a waste of time and energy and leads to further frustration. I take these unjustified comments on the chin and move about my business. A realistic buyer can easily see through these comments, as they are most often left by users with next to no feedback or experience in auctions. The messages also often are misspelled and fragmented, futher reinforcing that they indeed, are written by morons.

You have to have a sense of humor to be in this business. Otherwise, you're likely to have a stroke or do permanent damage to your computer screen.

Do what's right and move forward knowing that it's the best course of action.

Good selling!

I just went and looked. I was a bit high. The actual total is 2444 negatives and 2259 neutrals.

I don't think it would be fair to post their user ID. I was just using them as an example.

Fair 'nuff. Just goes to show, I guess a little negative feedback isn't the end of the world...but I sure don't want any!

Here's our wacco of the month.

We had a -1 bidder purchase an item from us a few weeks ago. They had 3 negs for non payment and 2 positives.

They paid promptly, however, they were a total pain in the A$$ after that.

We didn't contact them soon enough (Less than 48 hours after the auction closed). Didn't ship soon enough (4 or 5 days after the auction closed). Then they contact us a week or so later and were yelling about an item that some other seller sold them. I checked their bid history and found the item they were yelling about but I didn't feel like doing them any favors. So I didn't point them to the proper auction.
