I e-mailed eBay about the outtage. I have customers who could not bid who want me to void the auctions and relist the items so they can bid. I have west coast people who won auctions for ridiculously low prices falling all over themsleves to Paypal me so they can get the items and resell them. (One even stated so in her e-mail) Several of my auctions ended within the hour after the outtage, were not extended, and eBay sent out EOA notices on them.

NOW eBay e-mails back that there are STILL problems with the category, search not working right, many items listed last night did not list correctly, adding to or revising descriptions is not working, so many of the affected listings will be reopened even though they are showing closed, and bidding will be allowed to resume.

AAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
How am I supposed to know what auctions are over and which ones aren't, and who won or didn't win?!?!?!?!

Actually, this is great news. It's all the ammunition you need to put all your auctions from yesterday through today on hold pending eBay's eventual "fix" to the problem.

I'd reverse the PayPal payments. eBay has sent out erroneous EOAs in the past.

Stay calm, I think this is going to work out well.

Wow, I too have a lot of auctions that are suppose to close today instead of last night, I have know Idea if they can be searched. I would hope e-bay would send us an announcement saying here is your money back and give us 100 or more free listings!! Ok I am dreaming they don't need little ole me. As far as the customer that said she would re sell post in her feedback at least, if she leaves neg. to you just respond. How rude to gloat I don't know the rules but if you can I would also cancel on those wonderful people! I am on the west coast there were only 14 items listed in a search that should have had thousands at 11 pm here.None of them were ending last night so why did they end yours???

That's strange. The search was working fine for me last night, however, most listings were not showing in the categories and could not be accessed.

Isn't the chance of outages the major pitfall of starting auctions at very low prices? It's an assumed risk. When there are no outages we see lots of crowing here how these sellers that start auctions at $1 with no reserve are so much smarter and more clever and successful than those foolish sellers that start their auctions out at the minimal amount that they will accept for their item.
Your number came up.
