Personally, no I would never. But, you have to admire the woman's courage. Besides, there are just too many "nuts" on the Internet these days. This goes way beyond my comfort zone.

I think that lady could play defensive tackle on any NFL team and be a standout player. Even Earl Campbell didn't thighs that big.

I will bet that anyone that lived in the 50's had these items. I have no idea why I kept mine so long but I just cleaned out my drawers and threw them away. They were mass produced and found in almost every store.

It's not so bad. Women have been modeling underwear in catalogs for years. At least it's not revealing underwear. All the important stuff is well covered up.
Saying that...I would never do it.

Well, the items aren't brand new any more, are they?
I've sold a few things of that type and they do seem to go pretty well. I pictured mine either on Melissa, my mannequin, or flat.
I'm not sure these will sell because it's obvious they've been worn and by whom.

Edited to add: Take a look at the picture on her Me page. Gosh!!!

Those auctions need a little music. (Perhaps the theme from "Titanic" would be appropriate.)

Okay, here is my personal funny story for Thanksgiving day...then the lecture..
My mother, who is now deceased used to wear the model in the second picture...the open girdle..only hers was made of RUBBER!!! That's right, rubber, I can remember my aunt and my dad actually shaking her into the thing one day...she had just gotten out of the tub and was still damp..the rubber stuck!! SWEAR TO GOD THIS IS TRUE..WE USED TO LAUGH ABOUT IT WITH HER.
Now the lecture..those of you who made remarks about this woman's size...SHAME ON YOU..go take your clothes off and look in the mirror, how perfect are you to make fun of anybody? That type of social attitude is what our children with eating disorders are hearing everyday...so they are essentially killing themselves to have the PERFECT body. Our children hear it from us and go out into life with that attitude. It is no better than racial bias.

Boy oh boy what some people will do to make a sale on ebay. .....
I'd bet if they would allow even more exposure there would be plenty of folks willing to show it all
Health & happiness

Not perfect, but then I don't go posting pictures of myself in my underwear for all to see.
It's not the ridiculing of fat people that contributes to "eating disorders," as you call it. It's plain overindulgence. Poor health and a lack of self-control is nothing to be proud of.

twinsoft, your mentality and that picture are both disgusting...no matter what group of people your idiotic remarks are pointed at, they are discriminating and meant to be hurtful.

Take it any way you want. If you don't want people poking fun, then don't post a picture of your fat ass on the Internet.
For my part, I'm saving those pics for my eBay auction bloopers collection. LOL.

I think the lady looks ok. She is comfortable with how she looks, and that is what is important. Besides, if you go anyplace where middle-age ladies are undressed, such as the showers at the gym, most middle-age females are her size or larger.
If her girdles are selling, then modeling the girdles is the right thing to do. Perhaps her buyers want to see how the girdle looks on a person of their size, rather than a Twiggy.
Even Cover Girl uses plus size models. It is a succesful marketing technique.

rarriffle,
For all you know, it might have been your ancestors doing that. (I know it wasn't my ancestors, they were busy being persecuted in Russia at the time) You can't put current values on people that lived in the past, it doesn't really work.
I think there is a HUGE (no pun intended) difference making fun of an overweight person because they are overweight (which is bad in my opinion), and making fun of an overweight person modeling to sell their underwear on ebay.
