I love EBAY because I can find almost anything I want, or am interested in, or have a need for, on my own time, my own terms, and my own idea of what it should be priced at. AND conduct my little business 24/7 all from the comfort of my home. Plus its amusing to be a part of! :-0

Ebay helped pay off a couple of bills so we can eventually get a bigger house. Than we can buy more stuff to sell on Ebay and have room for it. Maybe then we can quit our jobs. (LOL). Love selling and buying on Ebay. Better than sitting at flea markets every Saturday and Sunday staring at the other vendors or the walls. Can just sit back and make money without the hassles of a booth.

Thanks for starting this thread. I've done my share of kvetching about ebay but it's usually about specific buyers or sellers. Ebay itself is usually pretty good.
As a buyer, ebay allows me to buy stuff at much better prices. For example, this morning I bought flea stuff (Advantage) for my dogs. My vet would have charged $129.00 for 12 doses, I just bought the same thing for $66.00.
I can find/buy certain books by favorite authors that I never would have been able to find ten years ago.
I'm renovating a house and recently bought some used appliances. Those same appliances new would have been almost $3,000. The cheapest version of those same appliances would have been around $1,400. I bought four-year-old used ones for $500. They're perfect!!

I can make my own hours and still make a decent income. I have two girls who are competitive athletes. Doing Ebay has enabled me to be there for every swim meet and for practices.
When I managed a retail store, I worked ungodly hours and would have to miss some important events.
No more excuses and no more guilt over missing time with my daughters. In fact, they've started going to garage sales and auctions with me. My oldest just got her license and does the post office run. It's a real family affair.

I love eBay and have from the beginning - eBay has allowed me to gather in many stray and lost dogs and either find their owners or make them part of my family - money for gas to search the areas where people drop unwanted dogs - and to leave food if I don't find any, money to have many of them spayed and neutered, money to feed them, money for vet bills - I LOVE EBAY!!!

I love eBay and have from the beginning - eBay has allowed me to keep many stray and lost dogs out, and hope they find their owners or make them part of someone else's family - money for gas to drop off unwanted dogs that won't leave my porch ["a ride in the country"] - and to buy food for us[, but i feed tasty appropriate leftover morsels to the neighbor's dog], money to have me spayed 'cuz we have enough kids, money to feed my kids, money for the doctor bills. - I LOVE EBAY ... [don't like dogs much]

TO SPARKZ:: tanks bunches to you tooooo! as with your thread, ebay not "done much" for me either - just helpd pay for a new Tahoe, helpd payoff almost 50K cancer bills, and, oh, i almost forgot...someone called me from eBay to tell me that there was evidence some one had hacked into my critical info on file...ACTUALLY CALLED ME...i have read every thread that everyone has posted; and have enjoyed every one...thanks to all...myoldtoy
