Slowest sales for me in 4 years, and that includes mid-summer.
Neglus, I see what you and Lindajean meant a few weeks ago about postcard sales. I listed about 20, over the past two weeks, and maybe 1/3 of them sold, even when relisted. I can see why it's an iffy thing, and now things are tougher, I think.
We keep saying people should simplify their lives and stop buying so much stuff--at least the heavy thinker/philosophers and others are saying that, and I tend to agree.
Even when we have extra money, I don't feel like shopping for anything. The simple pleasures are best for my husband and me these days.
I also keep thinking we're coming to some hard times and I want to squirrel away all that I can. I've gotten very frugal since we retired, and it's not for lack of money. It's just a pervasive feeling I have.

It is slow this week. But I've always found that the two weeks before Xmas are extra slow for me. I believe it is because a) most people are scurrying about doing their Xmas shopping, and b) I sell used books & movies, which are rarely an Xmas present type of thing. So, I'm not all that worried--business picks up after Christmas. Censorship, like charity, should begin at home; but unlike charity, it should end there --Clare Booth Luce
