i had a rather large(to me)auction running. The top bidder had 3 negs in 8 months, with no response. Negs from guys with 500+ ratings, him with 27. So I cancelled his bid and blocked any future. DID I OVERREACT? Item sold anyway.

I sure as hell hope you're not a jerk because you did exactly what I would have done (and what I have done in the past). The jerks were the sellers who filed the negs instead of NPB's. This guy shouldn't even have been around to bid on your auction in the first place. He should have been NARU after the third non response/no pay
.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Just out of curiosity I am wwondering how sparkz has determined that all of the negs were derserved and for non payment?
I recieved a neg from a buyer 17 HOURS after payment was sent because I had not acknowledged the payment or the NINE emails sent in that same period of time (9pm to 2pm Thanksgiving day).
Considering all of the complaining on these boards over undeserved negs and some of the rather unique reasons some of our fellow sellers come up with to give negs (my buyer from hell negged three of his own buyers because they had not yet emailed to let him know they had recieved their purchase) I'm really surprised that so much creedence is given to them.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
