Chortle, snicker...again at the massive double-standard & delightfully twisted hypocrisy of the GOP'ers...

Willy-boy's only mistake was legally playing Hide-the-Havana with a consenting adult & ye all screamed for the gallows -- no lie or half-truth was too bizarre for ya'all to take as gospel!

Of course with ARNOLD, all the many women relating his many CRIMINAL sexual assualts against them must all be liars, right?

His own words in his OUI interview give a pretty good idea of his attitude towards "chicks!" Read it -- see how far ya get before nausea overtakes & ya have to UPCHUCK!

I agree with Tom, it's the hypocrasy that is the big issue. While Strom was playing the racist card in his politicing he was also sleeping with a negro at the same time. That's a king size hypocrite.

PayPal sucks too!

One course I pursued in this matter that I have not mentioned is that I slapped an NPB warning on the customer who requested the chargeback.

She protested. I told her that I would pursue all remedies available to me unless she returned either the money or the bracelet.

I don't know if she reversed the chargeback or what, but I'll take the $15.01, thanks.

We have always had a Merchant Account, as we have a "brick & mortar" store - but we also take PayPal. About 80% of folks prefer to pay via PayPal, which is fine with us.

During this 2003 Xmas, if we had had to answer all the phone calls with credit card numbers, my packers wouldn't have been able to get anything else done.

Personally, we prefer PayPal, as it doesn't interrupt the shipping department, it provides a written record for both buyer and seller to access at any time, and for us, we've not had a problem with PayPal, although I wish they weren't part of eBay. We have been using it, almost from its inception on the WWW.

NO, actually we aren't PayPal "cheer leaders," but the system does work quite well for us BUT most of all, customers seem to prefer it.

If I could figure a way to integrate a system to use with eBay, where, upon purchasing, the buyer could instantly go to a secure area and use their credit card directly with us, then THAT WOULD BE IDEAL. This is still something I am working on. Such would negate their calling us.

Guess that should be a project for me for the coming weeks. We have found that it is vastly time consuming to answer phone calls from credit card holders, AND mistakes can be made, even when you ask a customer to spell out questionable names, cities, etc. A secure site, with written information, somewhat like PayPal, would be ideal, and probably not impossible, I just hadn’t put my mind to it – we have 4 main web sites with secure servers, so it might be a possibility.

anniekila-How can Paypal do a charge back from a personal account if there's no money in it. As soon as I receive payment, I withdraw it to my bank. Can they get it back from my bank???

I wondered the same thing. What I did was bid on an item and I didn't have enough funds in my PayPal account so of course I thought they would take it from my credit card. WRONG!! They overdrew my PayPal checking account. If you have a checking account attached to your PayPal account they don't care if there is anything or nothing in there they will just use that. I have a checking account only for PayPal which when I get funds into PayPal I transfer into that checking account and immediately when it gets to that checking account it is transferred into my main checking account which they can't get into. So PayPal doesn't care where you have your money they just take where they want to.

Attention TomwiiPlease in the future keep your political views to yourself or go to the Round table where they belong. I am one who NEVER will give political views where I know there are two sides to every story and more than one voting party. An argument that will never be won.....

With Fluffys thread on PayPal I am wondering what buyers would do if a seller never accepted PayPal. I know that when someone pays instantly by PayPal they get their item within 3 days and I like that.

jwpc. My daughter bought a car sterio from an ebay seller and in the description he put his 800 phone number for winning bidder to call him and with that she paid directly by credit card to this seller. Maybe you could do something like this. If I could remember the seller but I can't. I guess out of site out of mind....

I don't accept Paypal,(although I have used it for purchases). If a buyer of mine wants instant service from me, he/she will have to use Western Union (Bidpay).

Thanks-gives me something to think about ant they pay the fees. When you say you take bidpay do you give them a link or do you use an automated WBN with that informaiton in it.

You can give a link as ebay has no way to enforce it's linking rules, even when the violators are reported.

Libra - you can sellect that funds be taken from your credit card as opposed to your bank account - I think it is in the Profile section.
