Help!

A bidder bid today on all my auctions and store items. They bid on all my items and then right after left 6 negative feedback saying "Liar & a Cheat!". The bidder did this all within a 15 minute time frame.

Some were dutch auctions where they bid on all items. They purchased about 3000.00 worth of items.

I looked and they also did this another seller.

How do I get Ebay to credit back my fees for these auctions. In doing this my auctions were ended early as the bidder bid on all my items. As well how do I get Ebay to remove the negating feedback this bidder left.

The final value fees alone come to 177.34. That does not include the listing fees.

I have no idea who this bidder is. It looks like someone just playing around trying to mess up a seller. This bidder joined Dec 16, 2003 and has zero feedback

How do I correct all of this.

Hopefully you are a powerseller? Go to them and explain it. Go to site map. Powersellers.

For Buy It Now, can't you require Immediate Payment?

Wouldn't that have prevented this problem?

Ebay will straighten it out even if you are not a Power Seller. This is a cut-and-dry case and ebay will quickly credit all fees back to you and boot the offender.
Hopefully the bidder has revenge or whatever out of his system.

Well, I think the first thing I would do is quickly neg this buyer so that other sellers are aware of what is going on. Then I would contact eBay and file a complaint. Go to eBay's home page and click on "Live Help" and ask them where to start. Hopefully something can be done right away and you will be able to get your auctions back up & running quickly! Good Luck!

I wouldn't neg them back, that might only compound the problem. Ebay will remove the neg feedback and boot this nasty bidder based on what you have said here and afterall isn't that what you really want to happen anyways??

I don't know what you intend to do.
But I would pull their contact info while you still can, just in case!
I'd neg em, Ebay may do nothing, at least you can get a dig or two in.

A credit card (and checked regularly for validity) would be a great idea. Have them electronically sign something saying that if they don't pay, eBay has the right to charge their credit card. This is nonsense. Without the sellers eBay would be gone, but yet they offer very little protection for us.

I listen to bidders gripe and moan on this board about how they were ripped off by a seller. I guarantee there are far more sellers getting ripped off than there are buyers.

This bidder would be prosecuted for fraud had this been pulled on any other business.

This happened to me a couple of years ago from a REAL nut case. I printed the closed auctions, copied and pasted the closed auctions, e-mailed all to, at the time AuctionWatch customer service.

I also e-mailed E-bay customer service, when they responded, copied and pasted the list back to them and did the same at Safe Harbor. There is also a link at E-bay to report Fraud, reported them there also and blocked them from every bidding again!!!

Within a week, I had the auctions up and re-listed, and all my accounts were credited.

I feel that both companies were great to work with, this wasn't the first time this has happened to a seller. Please don't give up, there is plenty of help out there at both the sites.

Also, please post one of the auction ID's here so we can all block the Creep!!!!

Like I begged and pleaded before for,,,,,,the United States NO longer holds any value to where the member is,,,,,,,,The STATE or CITY needs to be in the users Feed back card. This could and WILL act as a clue........Newark N.J. Seattle Washington,,,,,,Los Angeles, Cal.

I hate that people can do these kinds of things and remain,,,,,,,unknowns,,,,,,,,,,,

Switchboard for City Hall in Phili???---

Call the Mayor of Phili. I am sure it is illegal to use company computer for this sort of thing. Find out what the ISP is so you can report this to them also. Then call the police of Phili and report them to their fraud department. How far away do you live from Phili?

I guess this is not so Happy New Year for you. eBay better find out who this person is for you and also hope he doesn't pay these auctions through a credit card so they don't do a charge back and reck your rating with PayPal.

Good Luck

Be sure to file your NPB and FVF. That will likely be the only way you will get any of your money back and will also be the only way this loser gets to boot.

By the way, did you happen to check out your competition? It sounds like someone that maybe selling the same items as you were trying to get rid of the competition.

You could hire an internet Privage Investigator, or contact the FBI. FBI has a form on thier website to report illegal activity: www.fbi.gov

You will need a court order for Ebay to give you the IP routing logs, but with them you can go the ISP and find the location of the person. However if they did it in a public place, such as public library or cyber cafe, your pretty much SOL there, unless the institution has a log of users (unlikely).

Good luck to you.

Nonsense.

Ever hear of dynamically-assigned addresses?
All ISPs use them now.

Jack, I agree it would be nice to see the zip for bidders. But cant one 'make-up' an address somewhere that isnt legit, too?
Then what?

I would really like to know the ebay ID for this 'buyer'.

Friends of ours had the same thing happen, someone came, used the buy it now on high end items, 10 in a row, then immiediatly left 10 negs. THEY DID NOT NEG HIM BACK. (btw the bidder had over 100 feedback!) They resolved it through ebay right away. Had the negs removed within 2 days. 'Buyer' was NARU'ed right off too

But if this person is still out there, it would be nice to know the ID. I wouldn't usually ask for anyone's ID, but in this case I do, and I'm sure others would like to know, so they can be ready, if he is still registered that is.

That jerk will just sign up again under another name and do it again.....Blocking that name means Nothing. e bay makes it WAAAAAAAY to easy.

This kind of thing truly is the same as a terrorist threat and AND not just threats BUT accomplishments.

You never know who may do this to you. You sweat every NEW bid. Been there done that.

More difficult features need to be instated by e bay. Like buyers having to use a CREDIT CARD number!!!!!!! to sign on and that has leverage. BID! Pay! Right out out of the credit card.

Oh well,,,,,,,,,

Hi,what a way to end one year and start another. You can tell that I just do not want to get to working tonight, so I went and looked at the bidders name and what he bid on. I took one key word that your auction and the other persons auction used, then I keyword searched but I just put in the region of Philadelphia Pa. I believe the person might have used a phone number in his area, this could be a new competitor looking to get rid of his competition. 8 auctions came in on one keyword search 9 on another, Maybe those auctions can give you a hint of who can be doing this., like maybe using similar text or photo. I know I hate to feel helpless in a situation like this
