Photosensitive - because I love photography and its history.

Beatnickera...At the house I lived in before we moved in here, I had a total of 13 antennas on the roof. My neighbor, who was an Edison employee and a good friend of my Father in law, helped me convince all the immediate neighbors that in the event of an electrical storm, their homes would be safe because any strike would likely be intercepted by all the aluminum and steel hovering high in the air over my house. It worked like a charm and I thanked him profusely for concoting such a far fetched and believeable line of BS. I was feeling greate until he told me it wasn't BS, but it was true. I never hammered so many copper ground rods into the ground in such a short time as I did when I found that out. I have my call letters as my license plate number as do most hams in California. That does not come under the "Vanity Plate" law, but under a seperate law that predates vanity plates by many years. Consequently there are no extra fees for this type of plate, just a $3.00 transfer fee to move the plates from one vehicle to another.

Mine was the result of delegating the task of signing up to an employee who chose this handle for AW and "youthnasia" for eBay.

Suffice to say, I work alone now.

Mine's my fav Bible verse from Romans 8:26 - and I first read it in a Peanuts Sunday comics strip (sad, but so):

"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words."

Mine is a bit misleading since I rarely do auctions anymore. I should change my handle to ebayfixedpricelistingguy.

Back in 1998, when I was signing up with eBay, I wanted to use Queen Mum as my user name because that was my nickname at work. I am originally from the U.K., I'm short and old. Can you believe it was taken? My kids were helping me and my oldest son suggested Earthmother, which I thought was a bit pompous. Hence, Earthmum. Funny thing, when I buy from U.K. sellers, they often quote me the U.K. shipping, because of the "Mum" part.

Pretty obvious of what I sell on Ebay.I grew up in the 50's and Elvis was thee big thing-Beatles came along in the 60's they were thee big thing-along came the 70's and I found out that is my favorite era,so many great groups."classicrock" is a term used for the music of the 70's.Since that is what I sell, I chose that name-I tried to get just classicrock, but it was already taken,so I had to add the 3 zeros at the end.

My screen name is the name of my very first Shih tzu. I rescued Shamoy from an abusive home when she was 6 months old. She turned into an EXCELLENT dog who is very loyal, loving & obedient. She will be turning 14 years old on January 24th. As I said before, she was my very first rescue dog and my most favorite.

Several elders have told me that the name "Shamoy" was also the name of a ghost cartoon character from years ago but I have never been able to come across any info about that.

This is taken right from my ME page.
HOW I SELECTED MY SCREEN NAME
I have received quite a few emails from buyers saying they liked my screen name and how did I come up with it? My legal first name is Saverina, which is a family name. Growing up in New York where everyone has a nick name, mine was coffee, because Savarin coffee was a popular brand in the Northeast. When it became time to choose a screen name I thought I would go back to a childhood pet name and have some fun with it. living in Florida now and ice tea is the drink of choice I decided to merge coffee and tea so from the song tea for 2, and my enjoyment of latte and other coffee delights I am now lattefor2. Like Neglus I was on auction watch for quite awhile before I found this board so I initially used my screen name.

Mine was my original business name - That changed several years ago because my business expanded. I should have changed ebay name then, but didn't. At this point, I have almost 7 years of ebay history with this ID, so I am not going to change it. It isn't all that reflective of what I sell these days though.

You are right when I was watching the Today show this AM I was thinking the same thing I am glad I do not have to worry about the

We sell "estate sale stuff". bought the domain name for it; also sell on ebay. started selling on our own years ago, buying at estate sales to resell. Then, became eerily appropriate ID name when we started selling my husband's father's things from his antique shop when he passed away ... you know, you NEVER expect your own parents to pass away. Amazing how that happens anyway. [usually happens to 'someone else']

I was looking for a ray of Light, I saw the light! and Thank Goodness, it finally wasn't a train!

Stonecold - I take it you're a Steve Austin fan?

I never thought of that before - but when you said it was self explanatory I looked up Steve Austin (which I actually spelled wrong the first time) to see what the numbers meant.

Mine is my name - well husbands name. Wasnt gonna post to this thread as embarassed to say that at the time, I was creating so many accounts here and there, I figured if I just use my name I would remember it!! lol
I was smart enough not to do that on EBAY tho.

Thought about changing it to something less real or more imaginative, but nero suits me and vendio's charge to change it is a little steeper than I want to spend to hide myself. At least right now
