My antiquey neighbor came by and thought that this Ugly mug/teapot/creamer or whatever it is, is English and thinks it's something special. Any ideas where else to look up this thing?
Thanks so much for everyone's effort in trying to id this thing. Thanks for the giggles too. I really needed them. It's been a very tough couple of weeks.

Paloma - try going to the EbayUK site and ask on their boards if anyone perhaps can help you identify it. Just remember most of the replies will be overnight and early morning with the time difference.

your piece is probably part of a set and the maker is either gone out of business or bot or switched to do corporate items.
the english makers face a lot of competition from china.
if you can list it on ebay -UK,you may get someone to tell you more and get higher bids.
like WADE is no longer making their novelty teapots.

As an amateur artist I'm responsible for a lot of ugly art but nothing quite like that.
I just remembered that you recently asked for advice on the RT about your dog, Molly. Hope the problem with kidney failure is under control. If my advice disturbed you in any way, I am very sorry.

Helen, I am glad you responded. I guess it's not yours. Yes, Molly is doing better. She was doing great, running with my son, eatting my out of house and home. that is until this morning. The website K9kidney has been so very helpful. She has actually gained a little weight, a better quality of life etc. NO, your comment didnt hurt my feelings. that is reality.
I really appreciate the support on id'ing this perfect uglyness and for my molly.
don't have alot of time right now. Will update the other post later.

Classic: I thought it was a human face. When my husband looked at it, he thought "fish" right away. Who knows? I just want it Out of Here. Soon. No bids yet. Why am I not surprised?
