While searching Ebay I found it interesting how one person handled an ebay seller who was using copy written material. Check out auction 4167614166.

Sorry, but I think that's in pretty poor taste no matter what the seller did. I guess if I were in a better mood, I might see a glimmer of humor in it. It's disgusting, IMO.

Obviously some unresolved issues with his military experience!

Perhaps too many hours spent amongst the torpedo tubes??

I agree, tom. If I were this seller, I'd be in a rage. Sorry, at first I didn't see what the problem was, but obviously the seller stole pics. Duh, too early for me I guess.

Ohh, I agree, probably not the most tactful way to handle the situation. Just found it "interesting" yet disturbing at the same time. Sorry, I should have posted a warning of graphic material.

That's okay, spinacetr. I've seen worse! I used to be friends with a gay couple. My boyfriend and I went over there for dinner one night and while we waited for dinner, they had Queer as Folk on TV. I spent the evening in total embarassement!

Geeze, if you are going to steal someones photos, at least don't link to them. I don't approve of picture stealing at all. All-in-all, I suppose the seller is getting his or her just deserts.

On this seller's ME page there is something about not having a scanner but getting one soon. Bet this is an incentive to buy on sooner!

While it's "just deserts" I wish the guy would be use more humor and imagination in the swapped pictures.

Why would anyone in their right mind try to sell something as "graphic" as postcards without owning a scanner? Obviously those pictures cannot be the EXACT cards you'll be getting, so who can tell quality or condition?

The picture theft isn't the only thing stupid about that seller.

As far as I'm concerned this auction should be pulled ASAP. This is disgusting & should not be allowed.

Just wondering... Would eBay do anything to the person who swapped the pictures? In a way, they're the one posting porn on eBay.

Any opinions?

cta

They were extremely pornographic photos of two men - and not just one photo. The F word was used, etc., etc.

IMO, I think eBay should do something to the poster. I wonder if the seller will do anything or if he'll just let it go.

eBay can't do anything to the guy who "posted" the pictures. All he has to say is that the seller didn't have permission to post or in any way use his images.

Reamond is right. The seller is responsible for the content of the auction he lists. If he decides to steal someone elses pictures or text and is stupid enough to not cover his tracks so as to prevent this, he deserves what he gets. My opinion is that the offended seller whose pictures were stolen could have handled this better. Instead of the profanity and porn, he could have inserted a message that read "Free FedEx overnight shipping to anywhere in the world on this item" and then place a bid on it so the jerk couldn't revise it. That would have caused the theif more problems than he could shake a stick at. It would have also netted Office Depot a sale on a new scanner as soon as their doors opened tomorrow.

Oh fer cryin' out loud! I'd figured if the seller was limited enough in knowledge to not realize what could happen to his listing when linking to another's picture, that i'd let him know about it ... so i had emailed him yesterday morning ... this morning the seller emailed me that he noticed the listing now seems to be 'down' AND HE MENTIONED THAT the "sicko" that put that into his listing was spinachetr@[blah].com ;;;;; our trolling OP of this thread.

Perhaps you should point the seller to this thread. Interesting.

So, to our OP: Your behavior, no matter how justified you think it is, is appauling. None of us here need to see your sicko photos. Most of us don't appreciate it. You embarassed yourself more than you did the seller, IMO.

Ya mean: "FAT BOY?"

We're both on a diet now -- his is the SOUTH PARK DIET: chew as many foul-mouthed little neighborhood kids ya can get yer paws on!

Actually, he does have to eat LOW-FAT EUKANUBA to maintain his svelte & sexy bod!

So embarrassing to go into PETCO & buy diet food for him -- "the HORROR! the HORROR!"

The last group of items he sniffed out were a complete DUD!

Remember that nice JAPANESE CRACKLE GLAZE BUD VASE? Couldn't GIVE it away!

Maybe SUMMER has sprung early & we need to take a break??
