Lady: its me again...
so you are shipping in corrugated cartons, not crated and palletized?

-------------

i havent looked at uline on boxes..but let me give you a benchmark..i buy my boxes direct from wholesaler: 21x24x48 wardrobe carton is 4.55...19x21x46 is 3.55...21 x 21 x 24 is 2.25...'os'-15 c/ft box[doublewalled] 37 x24 x30 is ll.15...these are basically THE boxes moving companies buy to pack in. if you can find a local supplier; these prices are basically what you might pay. further, the united van lines mover in my area does sell the same boxes, but they make a few bucks on them..when you buy online the freight charge also might be costly also.

gooooooooooooood luck, myoldtoy

editd to add: the 21 x 24 x 48 is scored to fold at 40inches; this is the max carton ups will accept before their prices go into orbit. for example, a 21 x 24 x 41 in box will cost, sometimes twice as much to ship.

Yes myoldtoys just corrugated cartons. DHL will take crates to but you have to have it crated.

Funny you should say that about ordering boxes. I say the name on the bottom of the boxes I ordered (and paid big $$) from ups. Went on their web site and order a catolog.
I will look at local guys too.
Thanks for the help everyone.

By the way DHL is up to 184 before it goes into OS to add the $50.00

I had this problem awhile back as well. I ended up refunding the bidders money, though she was pretty mad at me. I explained the problem, and she still felt it was my fault for not knowing. I gave her the links to the DHL site and she didn't care. She just wanted her tables. She whined and whined and whined about it until she received her payment back. Then she emailed me about a week later to ask me to leave positive feedback for her. I told her the auction wasn't completed, and if she wanted feedback she would have to leave it first. I didn't trust her one bit. Never heard from her again.

Did you get an under quote online? I am beginning to think it correct and all else is wrong.
I have gotten the same quote 2 times over the phone so I'm going to call in the am until I get that quote again - then I'm going to schedule the pick up and ask to pay on pick up or prior. Then I'm done with it. Will be so glad to get this ugly a$$ orange stuff out of my life - you won't believe it???
