And your point is?? I had no trouble putting up over 50 auctions tonight..and I would never vote for Bush. I dread the next four years with the little Napoleon wannabe. 59 millions of you were dead wrong.

Hello Sanmar: I voted for Bush too, but Lets begin a season of healing. Democrats Independents and Republicans all love and respect our country and most of all our freedom. Lets all work hard TOGETHER to preserve freedom it's a wonderful thing to have, too precious to loose...

Sorry, but freedom is already lost.
As for eBay, sales have been crap and I don't see much improvement on the horizon. People just don't have the money. I hate to even think about where my Christmas money is going to come from. I just took a cut in pay at work in order to keep my job.

I predict the next four years will be the worst this country has ever seen. "Dubya" wants to be the leader that he could never be. Sorry to sound so negative, but I think he's not done screwing things up and making this nation even more divided than ever.

Now Cheryl you are sounding like Crowfarm.
Ebay is probably doing better than you think but you have to find the right merchandise to sell. Also with the new bidders it is tough as they try and dictate your TOS. I have taken a vacation from eBay. I might list something now and then but with the fees going up and such it isn't profitable. I find garage sales better at least with the vingate jewelry that I have.
Why not at Christmas time try an upscale Craft fair. The only thing you pay there is your table fee and the ability to see your buyers first hand and for them to see your nice jewelry. I haven't see your jewelry lately but I did previously and you have some nice pieces. Great Christmas gifts.
Take your Granddaughter with you. Gives you a chance to be with her, let her help as much as she can and she will enjoy that. My daughter was with me in most of my craft fair days and she made all the change for people and she really enjoyed it. 6 is not to early. I start mine out when she was 5. Of course she could make change that early but I made the change, gave it to her and she gave it to the customer.

Oh, classic, you're just toooooooooo funny! Actually, you know very well I work in health care. . .non-traditional, non-western health care. I'm proud of my job and I'm equally as proud of the help we provide people who otherwise wouldn't get it. We just received our 501(c)(3) status today after a two year wait.

I have a shipment of nice rings coming in in about a week or so. It took 4 weeks to get them, but I'm sure they'll be worth it. Actually, I sell a bit of almost everything. From new silverware to toys to clothes to accessories to collectibles and antiques. The collectibles end is better right now than anything else. Thanks for the compliment! See, even someone who voted conservative and the liberal that I am can get along - as long as we aren't on the RT! LOL!!!!

The wife works in health care and she is going to tell her boss she wants a $10,000 raise or she is accepting an alternative position with the same organization. Some people just don't understand the market.

What I do is pretty unique. There aren't too make alternative health care clinics in Cleveland let alone those who deal mainly in HIV/AIDS patients. We do acupuncture, reiki, reflexology, massotherapy, aromatherapy, etc. I've been there 5 years and am one of the co-founders. Cleveland is not known for being progressive - okay, classicrock you can let me have it now. Forget getting into a hospital, most of them have closed or will be closing and only the Cleveland Clinic is working in alternative medicine. I believe their new clinic is volunteer workers. Cleveland is a depressed area right now.
eBay helps to supplement what I don't make at work.

Cheryl? ... I thought you said you took the full-time job offer at your attorney's office you talked about a couple months ago that was going to give you an increase in income?! ... or not? ... or she runs your clinic and decreased your pay? ...
The job with the attorney fell through. Her secretary decided to stay. I fill in once in a while, but not enough. Recent health concerns have me avoiding the extreme stress game anyway.

Cheryl,
Have you opened up an E-Bay store yet? It could help increase your sales and cut down on some of your fees. It has really help my sales in the last month. I sell at least 4 items to most in my store each visit. Hope you do well with the rings.

Cheryl, sorry to hear about your job stress.
I'm glad you have decided upon the career you chose. It is very needed in these times.
!!!!!OK, before I go any further, this is a warning to those of you who do not believe or do not want to hear about anything metaphysical. STOP READING THIS POST RIGHT NOW!!!
I would like to make a suggestion for Cheryl and anyone else who is encountering problems right now. I do not want my statements to be mistaken as being mean. I type then with the greatest desire to help.
You have some conflicting vibrations going on right now. You desire to help others and you sig line are in great conflict.
The universe helps us create whatever we give our attention to. If we desire to help others, we are given limitless opportunities to be of assistance. It is really great how that works.
However, the part that we forget is "that the universe helps us create whatever we give our attention to". Kind of a double edge sword. Concentrating on the election and getting others to help you stay mad is in direct conflict with your original desire. This conflict in thinking is now creating a very uncomfortable situation for you. Find more productive ways to deal with your frustration over the election. Put that energy into writing auctions and believing that you are offering items that others wish to buy.
Please, dump the sig line on your posts and re-orient your thinking. Your desire to help others is conflicting with the anger being sent to the universe by the kind of thinking associated with hate.
I am not suggesting you change your party affiliation, or even your desires for your party. I am just suggesting that you find a way to make your thinking productive instead of self-destructive.
The easiest way to create the life you desire is to align your thinking to fit your desire. You have to think love, see love, feel love.
Sounds very 60's I know, but it really does work.
One of Edgar Cayce's greatest quotes," Mind is the builder".
My sig line aside, I have made the very difficult decision to no longer post on either the EO board or the RT board. I gave the RT board a second chance and that bombed (no surprise). Negativity flows through both and I've spent the last year or more listening to it. It has spilled over into my personal life and that's not acceptable. Lately, you cannot even come over to this board without hearing about it.
I will continue working for the causes that are close to me and with the support of those who have emailed me today and the last couple of days, I'll do just fine with it all.
Peace, love and the best of the best to all of you. Very 60's, I know. But then, I am the 60's.

Cheryl, Please don't leave!
Do what I do, just ignore the "noise". They have a right to their opinion, but I do wish they would keep it to the RT. I don't even go down there because it is enough to drive a sane person mad.
Hopefully, now that the election is over, the EB will get back to being the fun, informative place that it once was.
I enjoy your posts and we may all be able to help each other thru what appears to be a changing time with Ebay and the rest of our lives.
Thangs, they are a changing! Together, we can change them for the better.

The most important thing NOW is for all of us to support these kids who were sent to IRAQ, under-trained, under-prepared, under-equiped, & sadly too often, under-taken!

Oh, Lord, tomwiii, throw in a candid photo of Ralphie and I may consider staying on the EO. However, NOTHING will get me back to the you-know-where. I've decided I have to try to stay positive if only for my own sanity. In the meantime, this is a riot:

Cheryl, don't leave.
I look at it this way: I know where my integrity comes from, and I don't need to get bothered by losers.
We know Ebayauctionguy is a loser.
The brainwashing was in no way complete. There are loads and loads of people who know the truth.
The wrong man was voted in, largely because people buy into wedge issues and say ignorant things like "communism" and "socialism" when in fact they are probably, hypocritically, receiving govt checks for social security, military retirement and other forms of pensions, democratic notions mind you.
But that's okay. Their lack of integrity shows them for who they are.
Sleep well at night knowing you are doing the right thing.

ltray, you have made some excellent points.
As far as negativity here and on the RT, it seems to mirror a lot of other forums on other sites also so it’s not exclusive to Vendio by any means. There are some good discussions at the RT and much to learn for anyone who decides to filter out the bad. There is humor there too. I realize the RT isn’t for the weak and it took me a long time before I had the courage to go there.
Years ago when negative things happened at my shop I taught myself to try to leave it there and not take it all home with me and dwell on it each evening and I found that it helped to lower stress levels that way.
I do the same with the world, with forums and with ebay and I know when to turn it off in my mind and do positive things that make me smile inside. If you can’t separate it then you are asking for trouble and only hurting yourself in the end.
Another thing, look around you at the people who are always bitter and you will see the way their faces age and their mouths turn upside down. How you feel inside reflects on the outside.
