I was not a Gyrene, but was a Navy Corpsman who served with them. All of you PLEASE DONATE TOYS for the unfortinate kids. SEMPER FIE!!
Normally, I do donate and I also donate to Coats for Kids. Unfortunately, this year the money is just not there. I took a pay cut at work in order to keep my job. I worry about helping my daughter get a coat for my granddaughter not to mention boots, hats, scarves and school clothes. She's still wearing last year's school clothes. Children grow too fast!!!! I will, however, try to get donations from customers at work. I feel I can do at least that much. Every sale from eBay goes toward my granddaughter whose worthless father, well, we won't get into it.
I'll help where I can. But, I'm afraid it won't be much.

wow sanmar 76! damn I thought Jack was kidding lol-God bless ya I was a YN3 on a Geograghical ship out of Pearl during the Vietnam era-we spent 11 months going up and down the coast of Vietnam. We also had 10 Marines on our ship, and actually we got along quite well despite the rivaly between services.Of course there was ribbing going on between us,but it was in good fun.

Wow, Sanmar, I never would have guessed it. You just don't sound your age. You must be doing something right! BTW, I picked up a toy today while I was getting supplies for work. I hit a great sale and had just enough in my purse to get it!!!! It wasn't expensive and it's not the latest thing, but I think some child will love it.
