I have totally had it with Keith...he gives Chef's AND people named Keith a bad name!!!
Mr. World chef should have known that had he cooked those fish whole last night, he would hhave provided a WHOLE lot more nutrition to the group...and what about boiling the bones/heads to make a little stock to cook the rice in?...what a maroon!!!
As much as I can't stand "Chef" Keith, I have an even harder time watching Jerri try to become the "alpha male" of the pack..YIKES...what a shrew!!!!!!
Keith
I assume full responsibility for my actions, except
the ones that are someone else's fault.

On Rosie's show I couldn't keep a straight face when they talked about the cameraman snitching to Cal about the crowd allegedly talking about him eating beef jerky. Another definition of beef "jerky"....

In a very real sense beef jerky wasn't at all off the mark.

Ubie, I noticed that too... they showed a quick shot of those wasted fish skins and I was thinking SUSHI!

Kel didn't deserve to get booted for a 'maybe'... this crowd seems like they're going to be more ruthless than the last by the time they get anywhere near the final 4.

I figured he would be voted off to eliminate the competition but not so soon. Maralyn I thought was a contributor to the team. Oh, well. Tina the fancy bedpan changer will get hers.

I might have felt bad for the way Tina screwed Maralyn if not for the way Maralyn screwd Kel. In other words, they're all a buncha lyin', cheatin' bastids. That makes it thoroughly entertaining of course.

I stand corrected. I forgot about Maralyn's backstabbing. You are so right.

I think Rodger is the most "deserving" but I think the saying will be true...nice guys finish last. But I wonder who will be more popular with the audiences for the extra income for special appearances, commercials and so on.

I like Rodger a lot, but I wonder what he has up his sleeve. He strikes me as smart. The show producer said something like "all of the new contestants could eat any of the previous ones alive". The Rodger we've seen is too nice and too "aw, shucks" to be out there to win, so it wouldn't surprise me if he turns out to be scheming like the best of them.

Wow, I guess all of us cooks thought the same thing with the fish. What a waste to folks in need of nutrition and especially protein!!!
I am surprised no one spoke up. Are they all that dumb??
Yup, I hope ol Rodger gives them a run for the money but I doubt he stands a chance with that group.
I really liked Mad Dog, it's a shame that they could not see what an asset she would be.
And I am really rooting for Tina to be tossed so I can guffaw.
If Jerri wins the money, I think I will puke!

You do have a point. However, if that is the case I like that strategy. What do you think?

Getting back to the fish issue, while I was watching -whatshisname- filleting the fish, I was thinking to myself...he is teaching them and they are learning They probably were not saying much to give themselves away. Anyone knows how to utilize food when you are starving!!! It doesn't take a rocket scientist.

I guess the great chef didn't know the expression "job security" but I bet he knows it now!

I think he is either their next victim or the next one after that.....

Is it just me, or does Mike, aka the PigSlayer, seem just a wee bit disturbed???

I was hoping against hope that Jerri would get it tonight...I actually cheered when Alicia answered the final question right in immunity because that meant there was a chance she could get the boot. What a finish, though... a double tie? Wow! Well, one of Jerri's allies is gone, though, so her days are dwindling... I hope...

Off with Jerri, can't stand her. I think Mike is more than a wee bit disturbed. He was obsessed with killing a pig. Did you notice his expression & remark "I'm so happy" yuck. I think it was a big mistake to show any of that or allow him to do it. It was a real turn off for me. The chicken & the pig....too much. It's not what I want to see & I think if there are no protests from viewers there will be even more killing of animals on Survivor three.

Good riddance to Mitchell!
He was a whimp.

Rodger is by far the most sensible of the bunch but he will never make it through the back stabbing.

I think the pig had something wrong with him or he never would have been so easy to catch.
Don't think the rooster or pig should have been shown due to the young who watch. It is a fact of life, though, that if you want to eat and need protein something has to be killed. I don't think there is anything wrong with the guy who killed the pig. He just didn't know how to do it. Rodger would have.

I find it hard to believe that they are starving. The people on the first Survivor were actually starving. It was strange watching many of them lose weight over each episode. While this season it seems they are always catching fish, making tortillas, eating rice, frying chicken or eating bacon, pork or ham. Sheesh!

Kimmi had gone up a bit to me last week but this week, she has gone back to obnoxious. Get rid of her, Jeff and Mike. On that team I like Rodger, Elizabeth and Alicia.

Now on the other side, am still rooting for my Colby! I have stated that Amber is a local girl but my opinion of her has gone downhill. I still think she believes she is in high school siding with Jerri. I knew she wouldnt make a decision using her own brain but just doing whatever Jerri said to do. If she would open her eyes and realize that she is siding with the wrong alliance! If she still goes Jerri's way next week, I don't see her lasting.

Glad Mitchell is gone. Ick.

I watched tonight because my wife insisted I would like it.
It is not my cup of tea. There is not anything in it that is a challenge about survival. It is just all cliches and politics. My wife explained that not one of these losers could start a fire in the first show. That pig the guy killed tonight had to be drugged and let loose by the TV producers.
It made no effort to get away, and the pigs I know about in the wild are about 6 times that size and if you spear them you need a cross bar on the spear so they won't run up the length of the spear and rip you to shreds with their tusks.
I can assure you if I were in the wild and trying to survive the first thing I would do would be waste that one obnoxious babe for bait and so I could sleep in peace.

Jerri worked ever last nerve in my body last night. It's time for her to go. I know it's part of the game to be duplicitous, but she's enjoying it entirely too much. What pleased me last night was that Colby demonstrated to her that he's no pawn. She could very easily be the next to go. Yee ha!

I agree that Michael is going 'round the bend. He's too frantic about continuing to be the "provider". I suspect that Kimmi will be voted off before he is, though.

I slept through Survivor last night, so can someone give a brief recap...

Which team won the first challenge...and what was the reward?

Why was Mitchell booted...besides the fact that he was the whiniest nitwit there...did he do anything in particular?

TIA

Realistically -- these people were there for 42 days. Just because they showed him catching one pig with seeming ease on camera doesn't mean it didn't take him 12 days to do it. Same thing with the politics developing. Obviously there is much more going on then meets the eye.

So far it's three weeks in a row that Tina has screwed someone at tribal council. I hope she gets hers next.

Ya know, I really dont like this survivor much. I am begining to think its all staged. NO WAY could that creep catch that pig on his own. I think it was drugged lightly, so it wouldnt be so fast. And Mr Loser got WAY too much enjoyment out of killing it. And the rooster too. Hes sick in the head. A real looney tune. They better watch their backs when he has the knife.

Jerri needs her smug mug pushed in the mud. Mitchell was gross (I called him The Stick). Jeff is a female Jerri. Kimmi should never have been chosen for that show. Shes a veggitarian. How does one "survive" watching everyone else eat meat and refusing to "survive" on her own? DOesnt make sense.

I too question the "starving" even though they may not have the "food" they would prefer to eat, I am sure their nutritional needs should be met due to any future lawsuits that may stem from malnutrition or at least that is my opinion.

As for the treatment of the animals I wonder how long it will be for the Humane Society or PETA to get involved with the show. I don't know about the hen and rooster (I am sure Rodger knew how to kill them properly) but I am sure the pig suffered when killed.

Mike has been looking "strange" in the last few episodes. I first noticed his odd behavior when he prayed about his "self-appointed leadership role." But the pig was I thought showing his true colors which would turn his comrades against him. Guess not.

Gravid

I too was surprised that they caught the pig so fast. BTW isn't a boar? Just curious.

Anyone who eats meat shouldn't be offended at the killing of the chickens or the pig. Every piece of meat you eat was killed, and the only difference is that you didn't have to watch the slaughter.

Kimmi's little vegetarian drama queen bit is getting old. That's fine if she doesn't want to eat meat, but to make such a big deal about it and say things like, "What's wrong with these people?" is kind of offensive.

BTW, I don't eat meat (with the exception of seafood) because I think it's kind of gross, but I think it's a perfectly natural thing to do. And I'd eat chicken or pig in a heartbeat if I were really hungry and didn't have anything else to eat.

If anyone wants to concerned with the inhumane killing of animals--just go for a tour of a North American slaughter house.

That pig is Australia probably had a much easier death than the pig that supplied your breakfast bacon.

Yes, a pistol shot to the head followed by a bludgeoning with sledge hammers is a totally humane way to slaughter animals.

I agree with you 100%, Zazzie.
