Okay WOW. Rented some DVD's last night, got a few in the mail the last few days.
Has anyone seen "The 60's"? With Julia Stiles? I dont know how exact their portrayal of this time was but the movie itself was excellent. It was almost 3 hours long and I never moved. Well except to check my auctions, but I think I do that in my sleep so that doesn't count.
What Lies Beneath. Whoo. Harrison Ford is one hot older man. And he played a bad guy!
Leprechaun LMAO. Okay, I'm one of the biggest "FRIENDS" fans that is alive, I have every episode on tape, I know lines, I know which episodes things happen in...so I've made it a point to get the DVD's that star the cast of FRIENDS Leprechaun stars Jennifer Aniston and I must say her acting abilities have much improved since those days. I will keep it because it has her in it but the plot was silly, the effects silly, the lines were DUMB.
cmbtboots You can estimate my age I'll be 30 this summer. *gulp* I'm not sure about Fast Times At Ridgemont High. I know I watched it a few weeks ago and got a huge kick out of it. I remember watching it when I was younger and it was one of the movies that I WAS NOT allowed to watch (along with GREASE) and of course I had no idea what 99% of the things were or what they meant (I mean the carrot scene? LOLOLOL). But to watch it now is so funny.
And can someone please tell me what the draw of Midnight Run is? I have auctioned two of them off, one closed at $33 the other night. I have another up for auction and I've gotten 4 emails in 2 days with people offering me a varying amount of money for them "not wanting to wait until the auction ends". I've told them all sorry as I'm sure it will at least close for $15.00 but is this movie OOP? What's up with that?

La dolce vita. I saw that years ago. I even tried to get personalized licence plates that read la dolce vita (the sweet life), I guess it was already taken. I love how the name Marcello sounds. He was fine until the end!
Hi Libby, I was going to say early thirties, but I was assuming you saw these movies when they came out.
My parents were also strict about the movie thing. I wasn't allowed to see anything P.G.. I remember sneaking into Grease nine different times. I could still probably sing all those songs word for word. scary. When Jaws came out all my friends saw it, I didn't see it until years later when video came out. I hated having such strict parents.
Speaking of Jaws, wasn't that just rated P.G.?? Shouldn't it be an R?
You asked about Midnight Run, I don't know why it is pulling in so much money for you, but don't question it, be thankful. It is on my top ten list. It is clever and funny. The chemistry between Robert Deniro and Charles Grodin is so funny. Grodin's sense of humor is so dry, I love it. If you have not seen it yet, you really should.

Hi Libby,
Took your suggestion and rented The 60's. I forgot what you wrote about how long it was. Finished watching at 4:30 AM. What a good show!
Did you know the marine son was played by the big kid in Stand By Me? Another, top recommended movie. The main stars were all so good-looking. I really liked the activist son.
I rented 5 movies, and I watched two last night. Any more suggestions? BTW, there is NO WAY I am going to watch Leprechaun!

Queen of Hearts is a love story with a this psychic-ish little boy. I can't say much, there is a surprise in the first 5 minutes and the movie runs from there.
Very Italian movie, funny, charming, original, magical.
If you like Cinema Paradiso - this move would rate with it.

The African Queen!
Bunnicula...
Wow. A Boy & His Dog...I loved that movie. I swear the young Don Johnson looked just like my son...it was amazing. I didn't know anyone else had ever even seen that film

I forgot..."Things Change," with one of my favorites, Joe Mantegna, and that late bloomer, Don Ameche. Hilarious...and moving...a tough combination. A truly wonderful movie.
