Tootie/Lucy- many, many hours and no response. I guess the truth has a way of silencing people sometimes!

Some of us are too busy figuring out new ways to cheat those poor eBay buyers to waste our time arguing with someone who obviously already knows it all.

Gtootie- The calculator on Ebay is a Vendio calculator? That's funny- it says it is a USPS calculator! BTW- Are you saying that anyone not charging actual shipping is ripping off their customers? The Power Sellers are selling one item? Perhaps some, but many sell different items in different quantities and almost never charge actual costs. Are they all ripping people off? You really took too much personal offense at my comments. You know what they say about those who protest too much, don't you? The bottom line is that the calculator can apparently be used to rip people off, and no not all buyers are idiots. But many are inexperienced and many sellers are unscrupulous.

You sound an awful lot like FTWC. Are you?

No need to insult FTWC

You are the one who is accusing people of ripping other people off.

And once again you don't know what you are talking about. Try to check your facts before you spurt off your mouth. When the calculator is opened it clearly says "Vendio Shipping Calculator" and at the bottom "Shipping Calculator powered by Vendio"

You really took too much personal offense at my comments.

I tend to do that when someone says that I am deceptive and greedy.

You know what they say about those who protest too much, don't you?

Once again, you need to check your facts. Actual ahipping plus 50 cents. Buy one of my $100 dogs and see for yourself. Oops, I forgot, I don't want you to buy from me.

You didn't answer my question. Are you FTWC?

1. I do not know what FTWC means.
2. I never said you were deceptive or greedy. I made a generic comment that you took personally.
3. Are you saying the calculators do not say USPS?

1. maybe, maybe not
2. yes you did

gtootie- 1. You can believe what you choose. 2. No, I said you answered the question and you chose to take my subsequent comments personally 3. If you looked at one of your own auction pages it states USPS shipping! Only when you click in the zip code does it say it is a Vendio calculator. What you apparently fail to realize is that the great majority of people who sell on Ebay do not use Vendio so the calculator that comes up most often does NOT mention Vendio! It says it is a USPS calculator!
This discussion is over so far as I am concerned. You just don't get my point and continue to make it personal.

Tootie
I, too, add handling fees to my calculator and don't see it as deceptive at all. If it's clearly stated in your auctions that the winner pays all Shipping & Handling fees, where is the deception. Besides how would the bidder feel if the calculator stated one figure and then the check out stated another. The calculator is just to save everyone the time of having to manually calculate during the auction. I live in Florida so flat rates don't work for me.
I think stusi is way off base here. Ebay's calculator has ALWAYS allowed for handling fees. What is the difference if you list it in the auction or use the calculator. Sellers on the west or east coast would have to overcharge many of their customers with a flat rate in order not to under charge some. I think a calculator is better for everyone.
