If this seller is a CROOK, then that's terrible!
ALL YOU HAVE DONE THOUGH IS MAKE THAT ASSERTION HERE, and if anybody calls you on the fact that all you've done is make assertions, then you attack the moral & spiritual integrity of the poster...
If me & Ralphie were THIS seller & if me & Ralphie found out about this thread, me & Ralphie would be a smidgen upset...

echo,
if you know so much about asian antiques and do your shopping in Asia ,you must have seen more than your fair share of #*!@ from your potential suppliers,so what is this big fuss over someone from canada selling repros??
Your friend did not fork over the money,he suffered no financial loss ,yeah,he got naru's because he provided an invlaid contact information,so??
Oxford does not take on any piece just because someone is willing to pay for TL testing.
There is a good article on terra cotta pottery from Africa sold in Soethby auction 2 -3 years ago,how they use old broken pieces from ancient times to make new complete pieces, the old pieces are placed in location where TL testing usually takes place,if luck should have it that the oxford lab tested the old piece, then they make it to the auction and sold for 5 figures,if not, well, try and try again, terra cotta material is cheap, interesting article ,they interviewed the craftsmen who made these pieces, now you know why the dealers save those old old broken pieces from the moulds they unearthed.

Yes, I HAVE seen more than my fair share and obviously new pieces being passed off as real antiques. That is why I can immediately recognize it.
"...,so what is this big fuss over someone from canada selling repros?? "
No fuss over selling repros. The fuss is the elaborate attempt in his auction listings to pass them off as antique.
Yes, I know most of the scams for forging antiques. I have a large terra cotta figure of a dancing lady made new from old Han dynasty bricks. I bought it as new, it is a beautiful piece and I am selling it as new. And it would pass a TL test.

sorry, dont mean to upset you,but we do not live in a perfect world,I kind of like his description and pictures, they are more professional than some slobs who start the item at one penny and charges 65 dollars shipping with bad picture and stories like i bot this 60 years ago and it is real antique,PLEASE BID NOW!!!!!
If such behavior bothers you so much, then stay away from Ebay and warn others of Ebay, like someone said, spend no more than 100 dollars and make believe one has a piece of history in his hands,as evidenced by the glowing feedbacks this guy received from over 900 happy bidders/
