" Anyone besides me old enough to remember listening to that song on the radio when it was popular? "
I didnt realize anyone that old was still alive

yesterday it was "doggie", now I'm hearing "fever" and I'm pretty sure the voice in my head belongs to Peggy Lee.
I'm not an old coot . . . I just play one on the internet.

Dare I add another one or two????
"Is That All There Is?" & "Tennessee Waltz" I'm not sure if Peggy Lee did all of these or not but she had a very sultry, smoky voice too. I'm pretty sure on the
"Tennessee Waltz" cause I can still see her singing it at dinner theater. I think she was wearing that dress in the photo above.

Yes, it was Peggy Lee! Right. (Was I thinking of Julie London??) And Peggy also did "Is That All There Is" - I'm pretty sure.
Tennessee Waltz--I thought that was sung by Patti Page or someone of her ilk.
Classirock: We're not all THAT old. I'm actually 19, pretending to be a geezer-gal.

Patti Page did sing Tennesee Waltz which
"classic" stated earlier
Peggy Lee did sing "Is that all there is?"
I was on a 6 week vacation for my first trip out west in October 1969.I stopped in Hutchinson,Ks,to see a Navy buddy.About an hour after leaving his house heading toward Denver,I picked up this hitchiker(which I would never do now.)He was hitch-hiking from Boston to San Fransico. Our first stop was in Denver-the next day we deceided to drive straight thru as there wasnt much I wanted to see in between. The first night out around 3AM it was my turn at driving and we were in northern Utah.I was driving around 75 mph on I-40-pitch black out-no lights or anything-just plain desert-then that song came on-"Is that all there is" I started to chuckle thinking how appropriate is this song?

Oh, Tom! You've touched my heart! Somewhere in our house we have a Mrs. Miller LP. We think she's hilarious--and dreadful, of course. I'm a musician, and I especially appreciate what she does with and to perfectly nice songs.

OK, I had to google for this. At least Minnie Pearl was in on the joke from the git go. I wonder what the 45's put out on the Mrs. Miller label would be worth now?
