Anybody else notice the "wink" that Colby gave Nick just seconds before he "fell off" the box? If you have the show on tape, check it out. There's a possible "secret Alliance" that we haven't seen yet....

I thought at the time that Colby's "shell game" strategy was just about the most perfect game-playing yet in the whole series -- Jerri's crest-fallen face said it all right there as the members of BOTH tribes hugged & thanked Colby, it's no wonder the votes started switching right there.

The coral gifts didn't change any votes. The Kuchas voted against her the previous time and, obviously, they would this time, too. Keith and Tina hated her before they got the coral gifts and after they got the coral gifts. Amber liked her before she got the coral gift and after she got the coral gift. Jerri may have thought the coral gifts made a difference, but she just didn't realize how much she was disliked.

Jerri could have brought them back a fruit basket and it still wouldn't have saved her.

Wow.

I wonder if the show played on Jerri's "witchiness" to get ratings?

I would share *anything* with Colby. *sigh*

I agree bringing back the coral was brilliant on his part! Go Colby! I am so glad Jerri is gone and hoping Amber goes next. I thought I seen her crying in scenes for next week's show. Arg.

I think it was a welcome surprise seeing Jerri getting voted off because I was certain she was the top winner. I mean, Rich was so obnoxious on the first show and when he won many were pissed, I thought the show would do the same with Jerri. Nice to be wrong! Also thought they were going to vote Nick off so glad he won immunity. As for the final votes, I should have known they focused too much on the fact Elizabeth would go that she wouldn't in the end.

GO COLBY!!

Yes I was theorizing that Jerri was going to be either the winner or the runner up. I am glad I was wrong!

This week Alicia and Jerri will be sitting together in the jury box. When Jeff was voted off he said in the am news interview that he is friends with people but they don't get along. He didn't mention any names but I can pretty much figure that he was referring to Jerri and Alicia.

I would like to see Alicia go into the acting. I think she would be great on NBC's show "Semper Fi" airing tonight 4/1.

NOW that she has been kicked off the island, sexy Jerri Manthey wants to get naked for Playboy. The "Survivor II" star told pals at Paper magazine's party at The Park on Monday night: "I may have turned down Howard Stern, but I want to do Playboy." Stern had offered Manthey $10,000 to go topless on his show. Manthey also noted that she and fellow survivor Colby Donaldson never had sex: "The plan is that we were always going to get together afterwards, because we didn't want to be caught on air having sex. But then I saw how mean he was to me on the last episode and I said, ‘Forget it.'" A Playboy rep said the mag would "love to have any of the lovely ‘Survivor' women in its pages."

Colby was mean to her... I don't like him anymore.

Good for her for turning down Stern's crude offer. If she wants to do Playboy, though, she should go for it. I hope she ends up finding success.

Why is Howard Stern's offer crude but not Playboy?

Have to disagree with you on this one. Colby was playing a game and Jerri just got what she deserved. He knew they all hated her and he just played up her weak points. She was the one pawing at him on the helicopter ride.

I think kudos to him.

Anyway, Jerri was on Rosy yesterday and said while she thought Colby was attractive there was nothing going on at all - no kiss, no nothing.

I felt bad for Jerri during the last episode because it seemed like she genuinely liked Colby, and he was pretty cold to her. Something about him just strikes me as disingenuous, and like he's always going along with the crowd, while Jerri was always straightforward and said what she felt. Colby is playing the game, alright, which is probably why I don't like him. And the coral thing, gag! Can you say "asskisser?"

As for why Stern's offer was crude while Playboy's isn't, well, I'm not sure I can effectively explain why I feel that way, but... going topless for Stern would be a tacky publicity stunt which would only benefit him, and rather degrading for a measly $10,000. Playboy, while not my favorite publication, is more tasteful and just seems like more of an appropriate setting for nudity. It's also less personal and something she'd be more in control of. JMO.

We will have to disagree here. Jerry is and was very conniving - not honest all the time. Remember when she claimed that guy was eating beef jerky and got him kicked off. Pretty conniving - there was no beef jerky and she set him up to take the fall - just as Colby did to her. What comes around goes around!!

As for the Playboy versus HS - have to agree with you here. Howard Stern and crew make my skin crawl. Getting naked in his studio would be very degrading, filthy - basically make me sick. Now, Playboy on the other hand is done with more taste and you would have far more control. In addition Playboy could launch her acting career while Howard Stern would only lower her reputation unless she was into doing skin flicks. Yep - sick guys that make my skin crawl would probably be looking at the Playboy pics but I would not know it or see the letches do it as you would on HS.

I wonder if Tina is going to end up being the winner... according to a web site devoted to her, she has been doing charity work. If that work includes donations, maybe she got the million.

No one has gotten any money yet, the deal is the same as last time. They get no payments until the show is over. Even the folks like Mad Dog, Kel, Alicia, etc will receive some compensation but will NOT receive it until after the show is over. So if Tina is doing something with money, it's money she already has, it's not Survivor money.

Ya'll might want to check out www.survivorsucks.com if you haven't. Lots of spoilers/speculation there. It takes me an hour or so to read through some of the stuff each night!

RB - thanks. I could not believe that it was still available on AOl and ebay. I love it. On all the deals I get that is what I always told people - why would you pay retail - so I used it for the company.

Back to Survivor II
I believe everyone has watched by now. Boring show tonight - as predicted Nick went. I knew if he did not get immunity he would go.

Did you guys see the news that Colby and the Survivor producers are in trouble as the coral Colby broke off is protected. Producers apologized but may be fined along with Colby.

I knew when they were making the fires that the person that took their time would win. With the holes in the bucket - the fires had to be strong to last. Kudos to Colby.

Amber is growing on me. Still do not like Tina very much. I guess we will see next week.

Boy, Jerri and Alicia looked like a bunch of sour pusses(sp?) - huh?!?

Alicia was burnin HOLES in someone tonight at the council...just couldn't figure out who...
Why don't they just catch the freakin turtle and have a feast? Is it "protected"? Seems like a dead turtle will equal more fish, and more hooks.

I was thinking that myself. Turtle soup.

Shelter can be found in a dead tree trunk (with grubs, which are edible). Or in the side of a bank of trees in the form of a cave that could be dug out and supported with branches and limbs. Idiots.

I'm pretty sure turtles are protected.
I agree about HS he is disgusting. I don't know how his wife stayed with him for so long. The women that appear on his show are just plain nasty.

Did anyone see what Keith bought at the food auction? I don't remember seeing him getting anything. That whole food auction thing was a joke, I couldn't believe the tiny portions they were given!

Jerri looked like she was ready to kill last night. If looks could have killed, someone would have been dead!

I think (and hope) that Amber will be the one to go next week...

You could tell those folks don't have a whole lotta auction experience....They shoulda gotten together, agreed to bid in alphabetical order, bid ONLY ONCE on each item (minumum bid) and then shared the food & had a feast!...Duh!!

I didn't follow Survivor 1 until the end, but I can't believe how these people, who are literally starving, are given (either won or auctioned) "junk" food to gorge themselves on. I'm surprized that they didn't get even sicker than they were that night!!!

Saw an interview today with Nick and there was a ton of more food auctioned than we saw.

Elisabeth is engaged to a college football star that is starting his pro career this year with a very lucrative signing bonus. So maybe she won't last as the money may not be as needed for her. Her fiance's brother plays for the Seahawks.

Nick has been seen several times in downtown Seattle as he is interning at a law firm here.

Mark Burnett designed a new way to insure the last show will be heavily watched.
The survivors voted on the winner on the last day in the Outback. However, the votes were sealed and returned to LA. They will be opened for the 1st time on tv on the last night the show runs so as of right now the Survivor contestants still do not know the million dollar winner.

So I guess their little vote speeches (remember Susan) were also done in private. Which stinks as the looks on the faces was priceless during those speaches.

What do you think about the way they did things this time?

Anyone wanna bet on the winner?
I place my money on Tina (I would like Colby to win but somehow I do not think he will)

I was very happy with the way voting went tonight.

I hope the last 3 are Rodger, Colby and Elisabeth. I would like to see Colby or Rodger win the money though. I was afraid Rodger was going to be the one voted off but was very relieved when it was not him.

The show starts in 10 mins here but I just HAD to see if anyone posted anything.

So from what I just read Rodger, Colby and Elisabeth are still in the game...

Hmmm...that leaves Tina, Amber, and Keith...

I guess I better go pop some popcorn and turn on the TV,
Later,
Patricia

I felt bad for them this episode. But, I would NEVER build a camp next to a river. Common sense is to build UP.

If I was there, I would eat grass, bugs, grasshoppers and worms if that hungry. Protein. If cows can eat grass, so can I. If fish can eat grasshoppers, so can I. Grubs are eaten by the aboriginies, I assume. What would you do?

Hepburn - Cows have intestinal flora that allow them to digest cellulose. People don't get any calories from it. They are not able to use real survival skills because a lot of the animals are protected. Not to mention in a real survival situation Jerri starts to look like a real source of chum.
I know from camping out west not to camp in a gully. You can be swept away in the night by water from a storm miles away you can't even see or hear.
They should at least have secured everything in a tree when gone.
