I would vote for Ann Richards or Pat Shroeder (not sure of the spelling) of Co.

Christie Todd Whitman is another puppet. Her tax break of a few years back in NJ resulted in higher property taxes.

I don't think I could handle seeing Slick Willie as the first "lady".

We've got a long way to go before a woman will be taken seriously...my god all the comments about make up, pearls, hairstyle...
it's downright ridiculous. There are a lot
of women in the public eye that could do a great job if we the public could get over
appearances (make up) and dress.

I was impressed with Madeline Albright .

Ann Richards would make a great president!

Wouldn't you love to hear her evaluation of
George junior?

I would also vote for Hillary. She may change
her mind...about not running. That's her
perogative as a woman.

What if Ann Richards or Hillary wore makeup like Tammy Faye Baker? You KNOW we would HAVE to make fun. Its a given.

It just goes with the territory.

Its what women do best. Name one woman that doesnt automatically make note of hairdo, outfit, stance of another woman when she enters a room and then commence to pick apart what doesnt please the eye doing the beholding?

whipser whisper:"just LOOK at what she has on. Why, Its positively _______(insert word of choice). LOOK at that hair! Why, it looks possitively _______(insert another word)". Whisper whisper

Am I right?

edited to add quote mark.

Hepburn,

You mean in a critical way?

I don't think the fact that she is a
woman would be distracting.

I don't think we all do that Hepburn, I am usually impressed by a woman's ability to communicate and her bearing in general...now if she came to a business meeting in jeans and sandals (something not in keeping with
the situation) yeah I'd notice.
I wonder if women who check out other women in that fashion also look at men and say things like...boxers or tighty whities? Boy is that tie ugly, he really should have a chin lift? Just wondering?

LOL! Tightie whities?

Not the fact that shes a woman, Helen. Any woman in any setting. Maybe its just me that does it, then. Yes, I admit I do that. Sometimes.

Appearance is important. A Yale psychologist
just did a study on women's hairstyles and
how each style was perceived by other people.

I don't know if men were included in the study.

That is why we'll never have a woman president.

---how many modern President's were bald?? How many were short??

appearances are big time issues in the election of men too,--don't fool yourself.
