Gravid, I was thinking grass would give a feeling of fullness? Maybe not have nutrients in it, but something in the stomach? Isnt Tina a nurse? Wouldnt she know what was edible and guide them to what could possibly be eaten safely? Grasshoppers arent protected..they were catching them to catch fish. And doesnt a country somewhere serve chocolate grasshoppers, or is that crickets? In short, I know about as much as they do, but I STILL would have been like you...build UP, not in a wash where it could flood. Im mean, they have had clues, since its been raining constantly.

Can I hear a DUH from the audience?

That Colby is just so smug. I hate him.

In one of Jerri's interviews she said they were instructed that because there was the potential of being poisioned by many of the plants and bugs--they were instructed NOT to eat them----and that is one of the reasons she said that she didn't believe Kel when he said he was putting grass and bark in his mouth.

After watching some of the Eco-Challenge, I really can't feel any sympathy or affection for the cast of Survivor.

Here's a new Mark Burnett race---it is a qualifier race for Eco-Challenge for special forces military personel

I'm beginning to believe he is doing Survivor to fund his real passion---Eco-Challenge.

Colby's time has come now, it seems. It was clear he was left out in the cold on this vote when Keith/Tina/Rodger/Elisabeth all went for Amber. Colby was clueless and voted for Rodger, right? As did Amber? So there must be a K-T-R-E alliance. Plus I'd be getting mighty annoyed that Colby keeps winning everything. Time for him to go...

And I agree about the Eco-Challenge - now it's hard to feel sorry for the wimpy Survivors after seeing those people. Wow!

Just read this over at Survivor Sucks - kind of makes sense, too.

It looked like the new Rodger/Elisabeth/Tina/Keith thing happened, right? That means Cowboy Colby...is up next on...Tribal Council. But that's not a good idea for Keith! If the final four are R-E-T-K, then you probably have a 2-2 tie. Keith would go because of his past votes, followed by Tina unless she wins immunity.

So, what's the deal? Was taking out Amber just a housekeeping thing, removing the possible swing vote? My best guess is that Keith and Tina swing back next week and vote with Colby, so that in the final four it's still 3-1 Ogakor. Colby could go after that.

That kind of makes sense...

(Edited for ubb problems that I'm apparently still having...)

What bugged me about Colby was (other than his Dynasty-sounding name) that he could barely keep from grinning as he said "I feel guilty winning all the challenges, I feel guilty getting two rewards, I feel guilty sitting here eating while back at camp they're starving ..."

Guilty my ass.

I personally would like to see a R-E-C alliance knock out Keith and Tina.

If the reason that Alica (sp?) was voted off was because she was a threat, then doesn't it follow that Colby should have been a target??....Now, with all their strength gone, Colby will just continue to win challenge after challenge and imunity and imunity....One of the remaining 4 HAS to beat Colby and get him off!

I did think Colby was sincere when he asked the host can't I give them that (bread) after he won and before he left for the camp.
How horrible for the tribe no matches, no shelter...what a nasty time of it. They are really earning their wings. Not really a piece of cake. With the river in such a state what do you think their water will taste like?

Julesy - I wanna know how Colby is maintaining those sparkling white teeth without a toothbrush
I'd bet Kiki2 had ~something~ to do with that....after all she did say, "I would share *anything* with Colby. *sigh* "

Zilvy - I agree. Colby's offer to leave/share that loaf of bread with the others impressed me. He knew he was going to enjoy two great meals that the others weren't. What I can't believe is that he was told no. Those people are starving....look at their bones....and he couldn't share one loaf of bread with them? Strange decision, IMO.

I felt Tina made some points by swimming out to retrieve the tin of rice.

If I were voting next week, I'd vote either Keith or Elizabeth off.

Now Spaz, please we need someone to watch and for me Colby is it! Between the height, smile and those sparkling eyes - he can't be beat. So far he is the best looking male of either Survivor show - IMHO.

Secondly, I truly do feel he was being compassionate for his fellow players when he offered bread. I also think he does feel guilty. I think he is torn between his Southern charm and compassion to a competitive spirit in winning this game. I believe he truly wants to win - you see it in every challenge - but he does feel bad for his peer players.

Did you see the girls all melt into his arms when he came back? You can't say they do not like him. But if I were playing the game - he is a definate threat and I would try to eliminate him.

I do not like Tina but I think she is playing the game well and my vote still goes to her to win - if I had to place money on it. Without money - of course, I would love to see Colby win.

Elisabeth is engaged to a soon to be professional football player. He is a college star and his brother plays for the Seattle Seahawks.

I was wondering about Colby's teeth too! Whenever they did close ups of his face I would look at the teeth (to see if there was plaque) and NONE. Elisabeth too...

Next weeks teaser showed Colby going against Keith. And Colby's comment when he hit the plates with the macadamia nuts (why didn't they save the nuts, crack them open with a rock, and eat them!)and Tina, Keith, and Amber were out. About how he was "jumping ship". Maybe foreshadowing...?

I wish I could say I *did* have something to do with Colby's pearly whites but I think my husband would have something to say about that. LOL!! It is enough the poor man has to listen to me go on about how yummy Colby is every week

I do think Colby felt some sense of guilt but if I were starving, I couldnt help but also feel elated that I was eating! I think the others would feel the same way if it were them.

I couldn't help but laugh at Colby's shifty, nervous eyes when he returned and seen the camp had been washed away. He NEEDED to win that immunity challenge.

I also wonder if alliances changed with the voting going the way it did. I told my sister that I think they didnt show it but Tina and Keith discussed things and decided on Amber although they may have discussed Colby and by him winning immunity, saved his butt.

Next week I think it will be Colby IF Rodger and Elizabeth vote with the others however, if Colby wins immunity OR if he gets to Rodger and Elizabeth, things could swing and it could be Keith that is gone. Crossing my fingers it goes that way.

Go Colby!

About the teeth...Amber was on one of the morning shows last week. She said that one of the tribes has won the box at challenge with things in it like toothpaste and such. So they were able to brush there teeth at this point. No toothbrush, but did use paste and fingers. Better than none at all..I guess!!!

I'm thinking maybe Colby because he keeps winning challenges, and because he wasn't in the group that voted Amber out last time. I'm usually wrong, though.

I believe Colby is history unless he wins immunity. If he does get immunity then probally Elizabeth will be voted off. (I haven't guessed correctly yet.)

Hello ladies

Well my vote is for Keith.

I'd hate to see Colby voted off, if only for the sake of our AW ladies who 'admire' him so much.

But think you might just be right RainyBear.

If you really want to know who gets voted off you can go to survivorsucks.com and click on the link at the top of the front page. The info posted there each week is always spot-on. I didn't peek this week, though, because I don't want to know!

I'm hoping Keith will be the one.

Then Tina, and then Elizabeth.

I'd like the final 2 to be Colby and Rodger.

Keith and Tina will be the final 2.

If Colby doesn't get immunity, he will be toast tonight, because the others will see him as too much of a threat.

Hi Ubie!

I think there are holes in your theory. If Colby is booted tonight, Elisabeth and Rodger will probably team up, and so will Keith and Tina. If E & R vote against Keith and K & T vote against either E or R, Keith is out because he has prior votes against him. They only way E & R could lose is if they vote for Tina instead of Keith.

But maybe my thinking is flawed, too, or at least biased -- I'd love to see Elisabeth and Rodger as the final two!
