To avoid his mistress going public, California Rep. killed the young promising intern Chandra Levy. Earlier today the Congressman confided to a source that after a heated debate at one of his apartments, she told him she was going public with their affair. That was the last time she was seen alive. Somehow, I think Bush had something to do with it in order to increase oil revenues.
And I can prove it, just look at the gas prices.

Not in the least bit funny.....to be making a joke over ----this missing girl is someone's daughter.
jlpiece---can you tell me something really painful in your life that involves the violent death or disappearance of a loved one?? I'd love to poke some fun at it.

Well, a couple days ago, this girl's mother was interviewed by Paula Zahn. While Paula kept trying to focus the interview on his relationship with this young girl, the part of the mother's statement that weighed most heavyly on my heart was (and I'm paraphrasing), "I don't care who was doing what with whom, I just want my daughter back."

That's the way it's been since the early days of the story, when it was only being covered here in the D.C. area.
As soon as the connection to Condon surfaced, the possibility of romantic involvement between the missing woman and he became a if not the primary focus of the media. We were treated to such breathless "News 4 has just learned..." discoveries as the "fact" that she was a frequent visitor to the congressman's office. Three sentences later, we're told that "frequent" meant six times between August and March. Not reaching at all there, eh?
But the really sad thing is that at least one person on the planet thinks the first post in this thread was clever.

You still don't get it do you? Here I'll explain it real slow like - I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN. You don't have to be a republican to see the ridiculous lack of logic used by some of the liberals on these boards.

Well, I wasn't poking fun at the dissapearance of Chandra Levy, but if you insist on poking fun at some of my pain, go right ahead. When I was 5 years old, I watched my mother get killed in a car wreck in front of the house. Even saw the EMS people pull her body from the car. Also lost my father to cancer when I was 12. Grandparents also died before I was 18. I could go on, but I'll probably touch on pain you'd never understand. Feel free to poke your fun though. After seeing what I've seen in my life, somehow I just don't think your comments would affect me very much.

You missed the point jlpiece----I would never ever make fun about a situation that involved another person's pain.
This missing girl is a person---not just a blurb in a news story with a political twist.

Just in general if my name is mentioned in this thread by some S*** H*** again I will have it shut down. There is no substantiation to the claim that the Democratic Rep Killed the missing intern this thread should be closed...it is libelous at the very least and only meant to incite the emotions of decent posters.
Too bad it is boring here but that does not warrant false statements of public figures.

That's quite a thing to reveal about yourself jlp. I'm truly sorry you had to go through that nightmare. Although you seem "free-spirited", there's a streak in you I haven't been able to understand. Now I do.

It is against the community guidelines to refer to other posters as s***h****. I can assure you that even with misspelled words, the intent is seen, and this will generally result in the suspension of one's posting privileges.

You can always determine the topic of thread by using that little scrollbar on the right hand side of your browser. It looks like a little rectangle, and if you click and hold with your mouse, and slide up to the top, you'll see the topic in bold letters.
