I have been using PayPal A LOT in the past couple months as a buyer and as a seller and have had NOTHING BUT THE BEST POSSIBLE SERVICE! The direct deposit is great. No complaints here from me or any of my buyers!

Congrats!
I feel the same way. Now that the merger with x.com is over, things have quieted down...access is good...BTW: a week or so ago, I was watching a PBS station, where they were showing the "WebsiteAward"...PayPal was one of the nominees. (did not get the award, though!)

I've found using PayPal to be a great advantage to me as a seller (ebay x4all)and through my on line store www.checkitout-x.com where buyers paying with PayPal reveive additional merchandise. The buyers benefit in that their purchases can be shipped immediately.

I have had Paypal pay twice on a transaction but they didn't accept any responsability. Said it was up to me to get the money back. The seller said he only got paid once, what can you do?

I have had nothing but good fortune with PayPal. I have heard of people who approve payments requests before really checking the request out. I think that if everyone kept good records and paid close attention to what their own finances were/should be with PayPal, then the world would be a better place. I always make sure (as a seller) that I am receiving the payment from the buyer. I also make sure that I know AT ALL TIMES what my balance is so that when it reaches $100, I immediately put in for a request for a check. I have always received a check within 7 working days, no problem. I have been reading other threads about people complaining, but can they all say that they proceed with caution? Besides, any system is only as good as you allow it to be.

Paypal is a great service as long as the seller is a HONEST seller, But when you run into a dishonest seller (like I did) you are out of luck !! I got taken for $ 268.00 & Paypal says there is nothing they can do about it. Paypal sent the man the money for me, so of course they could do something about it but they wont. They protect thieves

If PayPal can charge your credit card then they can definately credit money back to it. I would surely complain to the Better Business Bureau in your area. Give them a call and see what they say to do. There isn't a store or any kind of business that can't give a refund...this includes them.

Contact [email protected] and explain the situation. Paypal is allowing charge backs and is giving $5000 buyer and seller protection against fraud. Let us know what happens. PP has announced that their new policies will make them safe. We all want to hear some actual reports of what happens. Good luck and keep us posted.
