I'm new to auction selling, so would like the advice of the pros.
A bidder placed a bid on one of my items and did not follow through. I give a deadline to respond/resolve and have received no response. I now see that the same deadbeat has place another bid on a different auction of mine.
This is a new bidder with no feedback. Am I being toyed with? Or a ramdom act of noncommerce?
IF YOU GO TO YOUR AUCTIONS PAGE ON YAHOO
GO TO THE AUCTION IN QUESTION,CLICK ON MANAGE
THERE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CANCEL BID.IF YOU HIT OPTIONS AT TOP OF PAGE IN BLUE.IT WILL GIVE YOU A BLACK LIST.I WOULD TRY TO RESOLVE
PROBLEMS WITH BUYER FIRST IF YOU CAN.

Thanks topmooch, I did find the area for blacklist you indicated. I've added this bidder to mine (the 1 and only on the list). I have no idea how to resolve if the bidder will not and never has responded to my emails. I don't want this person to ruin my auctions for the customers or myself. We'll see what develops.
i'm glad it helped.i'm kinda new to this too
but i had a buyer on e-bay that was high bidder,sent e-mail had good contact.and never received payment.after 45 day's a m.o.
arrived with note of apology.i did'nt send
a demand e-mail.of course i had a 2nd high bidder e-mail.sometimes its worth the time to
wait.maybe i was lucky.!! tm

This sounds familiar. I have a frustrating situation myself. A bidder jumped in one minute before the end of my auction and outbid my previous bidder. It was 3 days before she responded to my email, saying she was out of town due to a death in the family. I think this is strange since she knew in the next minute after she bid that she had won. If she'd gone out of town, she had time to email me. She added she would put a money order in Monday's mail (it was Saturday), giving me her name and address to mail. Of course, a post office box.
It's now been 13 days since the end of the auction and no response to my emails. I've noticed she has just changed her user ID and email address. I sent an eBay non-paying bidder form to her, so we'll see what happens.
The funny part, she has such wonderful feedback from sellers, all positive, saying she pays promptly, sometimes with PayPal. I take PayPal, no problem there. And if I leave a negative feedback if she doesn't come through, could she retaliate and make me look bad, since her feedback is sooo good? I'm a new seller and have less feedback than she does, however, it's all positive. I feel like games are being played, is it LIVE AND LEARN?
its kinda tuff to have to wait for some buyers,i've waited 5 to 15 days for some
checks, others in 3 days.thats why i like paypal.you get your payment now,an i ship same day.getting feedback is another story.
i've had 2 nonpaying bidders both from canada
but will still sell to other canadian buyers.
i try to give the benefit of doubt to buyer,
an try to wait 30 days before i send non
paying bidder form.it is a live and learn
system, but maybe the buyers aren't as
anxious to get item as we are to sell it.tm

Thanks, topmooch, I guess you are right. It helps to know someone else's experience. Maybe this has to do with teaching me about patience!! When I am a buyer, I am so anxious to get the item I bid on, that I almost fly there to pay for it and pick it up!! Not everyone is like that.

Maybe. Maybe not. I think it's a personality thing. Or character. Or the
way one was raised as a child, environment, etc. I'm not new to birthdays
and Christmas, yet I have as much anticipation and fun as when I was a tyke.
