I would be interested in hearing any experiences anyone has had with the ProPay online service, Iam trying to evaluate the various online payment services, or can you recommend your favorite???

I cant see any reason to recommend services that charge fees when there are so many free ones.
Paypal, payplace, x.com, ecount, yahoo paydirect - works with your CC
paypal gives new customers $5 for signing up and $5 to the person who referred them. payplace gives $5 to the referred, nothing to the new account. I usually give my customers at least half for signing up with my id.
achex - works checking account to checking account
payme - holds your money for over a month before sending it out. avoid this one.

Well, I don't know about ProPay, but I'll be signing up for it in a day or so.
Some features that I really like (at least after reading the FAQ's) about ProPay are the fact that every transaction charges the credit card, which makes anti-fraud measures easy to handle (call your CC company, say there was a fraudulant chage, and ask them to do a chargeback).
Another feature I like is the fact that your name will show up on the buyers credit card statement. That's a definite plus for me -- I can't afford all the fees for a merchant account, but would like my name to show up on their bill.
Thirdly, I like the fact that buyers don't need to have an account with ProPay -- just go to a website, punch in their info, and it's fine. You can also accept orders over the phone and enter the buyers information yourself. Many other places don't allow this.
Either way, it's free to sign up, so why not give it a shot?
