Buyers beware...
The bidding system at FirstAuction.com is not functioning properly. I lost an auction yesterday to a person with a LOWER bid, and today I WON an auction that I was not a high bidder on. Has anyone else had these problems?

If it is any comfort...you are not alone! I used to shop daily at First Auction but over the last month I have had nothing but frustration. I finally called their 800 number and was told that they "are working on the problem". That was 3 weeks ago!

Thanks...glad to hear I'm not going crazy. I think the trick to winning seems to be to not use their Bid Buddy or Manager (whatever they call it.) Bids placed through it are the ones that seem to be getting fouled up. The auction I won today with a lower bid was placed by hand at the end of the auction. I too have called their 800 number and e-mailed their customer service and management...so far no response. At least they HAVE an 800 number however - that's refreshing!

Oh Yeah! Ever since they came back in early Nov from several days down it has sucked more than usual! I was trying to win ONE of something and now it seems I'm getting 3 of them! Furniture, so too heavy to sell on auction. And their customer service, if you want to call it that!!!, has got to be the absolutely worst online or anywhere else! They don't answer emails and if you call them you just get robotic scripted "answers" and you will want to wring the neck of the person before you end up slamming down the phone...It's just a big lesson in tolerance for me! Deep breathing and antidepressants!
