Just a note of caution about using Paypal's new debit/atm card. There is a $1 fee from Paypal everytime you use the card at an ATM to make a witdrawal. This does not include any additional fees from the ATM owner. Here is their words:
"PayPal charges $1 per ATM withdrawal. This fee is in
addition to any fee imposed by the ATM service
provider. PayPal has no control over the fees imposed
by other institutions."
This is is the "small print" on their site and they keep it very well hidden. You have to scroll down on the little console screen that pops up to see it. I do not believe that they mention this in the promotional email that they've sent out about the card.
Also, it looks as though you MUST sign up for their "Money Market" account before you can receive one of these debit cards.

These two cautions are exactly what has me hesitant to apply for the debit card. They are already charging per transaction, okay, I agree the service is worth it, but not the extra fees for atm usage.
I am wondering how soon before they start charging for electronic transfers to our bank account? Has to be coming soon.

I have heard so many complaints about PayPal and I have had very few, but after reading all this I want to close my account! One thing that bothers me is that I have refered SO Many people and am not getting any referal credits due to their new policy!

Paypaldamon,
Your company has simply lost all credibility. Period. Ever increasing POOR ratings from Better Business Bureaus, ever increasing changes in TOS to rip people off, subtle abuse of users who are smart enough to refuse you access to their bank accounts.
And even SPAM!
I allow my customers to use your service, but give them stern warnings against it! I have had dozens of horror stories from customers about your company. Fortunately you have never ripped me off. But then again you do not have access to my bank account either.
I am anxiously awaiting the day of your Chapter 11. Certainly a more honest service will arise to fill the void.

I doubt PayPal will go belly up. The service is good but yet must be polish, strenghten and have better customer service.
I've never had any problems but now reading all these makes me think about it. I am now being charge 1.6% to 2.2% of total amounts received which in turn I charge to clients.
I also found out that eBay will cancel all auctions that stipulate a charge if buyer pays with PayPal. Why? I don't know.
I gave some money to PayPal but I maybe stopping that soon.
